We need to have a community conversation about the reality of our inbox. Feral cats being trapped in wildlife traps on a Sunday with good intentions and a system that fails them. Optimally, ferals could be accepted and set aside for TNR next business day. That is what we are doing and in the meantime hydrating, nourishing, transferring to a trucatch cat trap for the night. We don't mind, but we do wish it was a little more seamless, so less cats would be caught in this spin cycle. A rescue can dream? No shade to our humane society or anyone trapping. We see no problems, just solutions and want to really achieve all that can be done. As we have reshared, the feral funds have run dry. Yet the need remains critical and the services are working 💪 Will you consider helping replenish the well? The problems are here right in our own backyards, yet its hard to get anyone to acknowledge the clear and present issue let alone pledge support. We are here as an open partner to work alongside the shelter and the vet clinic, even if this is what it looks like on our end. We appreciate that maybe they cant do what we do but still provide information and send people our way. We hope that one day feral cats are seen as cats too because that is what they truly are. ❤️
