Today we said fairwell to the Last little boy of the litter, Blue Boy , now Griffey ( named after the Baseball player ) is headed home to his dad and 3 new human brothers. Which COULDNT be better for this little guy that wants all the attention, 100 percent of the time . Congratulations! And welcome to the Salish family 🫶

Two stewards will be rowed out 75ft. from shore. The two stewards will quietly exit the boat, one at a time from the platform. They will then move to the seaward side of the boat, where they will hold onto the lip of the boat. The stewards will call for help in a manner realistic with being stranded and as if their boat had overturned. The dog will enter the water and will swim directly to the boat. The dog is to swim close enough to one of the victims for that victim to reach out and to take hold of the dog while still having hold of the side of the boat. The dog may bring in one or both victims at the same time. returning towards shore with a victim (s) in tow. If they only bring in one steward, they must return for the second steward. When the handler has taken hold of the hand of the second victim the exercise is finished.

Their thick double coats are designed to protect them from the cold northern winters and the frigid waters of the North Atlantic. They have difficulty acclimating to warm climates and are susceptible to heat stroke in hot weather.

Not really dog related but , my two kennel assistants that have been helping me with this summer with our Emmett x Jinora litter went back to school today . This time they are both in High School 🥹 Evalynn puppy play time extraordinaire has started her freshman year , and Carson my right hand man in all things puppy maintenance has started his Junior year . Where does the time go ?

UPDATE ! LYLA HAS BEEN FOUND ! SHE IS HOME !!!!

Friends , families , neighbors and strangers . Tonight I am asking for all of your help , our precious Ila , now Lyla with her new family is missing . Tonight is the end of day 2 . She lives in Langley off 232nd Street .

Yesterday morning in Langley B.C. There was a huge bout of thunder , Lyla was outside when thunder crashed over them , it scared the heck out of her and she bolted.

I am begging everyone in the Langley and surrounding areas PLEASE, PLEASE! Keep your eyes open. She is SO loved and so sorely missed . Her family and I are absolutely beside ourselves in her disappearance. Her owners have contacted the proper authorities , they have help from friends to look for her , and have hired a thermal drone to help look for her as well .
If you live in the area and have it in you to help look for Lyla . Please do so . If you have seen her please contact me immediately. Thank you for your attention and all the help getting the word out about this sweet missing girl . She needs to get home

This week we said our , See you soon’s ! To our much beloved Yellow Girl and Red Boy ( these two are basically twins !) I am so thrilled for both of their families whom are the most beautiful people .These puppies are so lucky and I feel so lucky to have them as a part of our Salish family 💙
