First passionfruit flower of the season. Passiflora incarnata is a hardy vine native to this area. It grows quickly covering a fence or trellis in its first season. It puts out a ton of these crazy looking flowers that not only look great but attract plenty of pollinators. By late summer they give tasty passion fruits called maypops.
