If you missed it last night, check out the two interviews our Director of Public Works, Teal Spellman, P.E., gave to Fox 11 and WBAY Channel Two. The Village is utilizing hot-in-place recycling instead of traditional paving. This innovative method heats the existing pavement in two phases, bringing it to the typical temperature of asphalt. The pavement is then tilled to loosen the material, followed by the addition of a rejuvenating agent before it is laid back down. This approach allows us to reuse our existing asphalt, giving it new life while significantly reducing costs!
