🐾 Puppies keep us on our toes! 🐾
This sweet pup visited our clinic for her puppy appointment and picked up a 6-pack of Nexgard Plus. Unfortunately, after having one dose, she decided the remaining doses looked like a tasty snack and helped herself five more! Or maybe she just wanted to see us all again the next day.
Thankfully, her family noticed right away and contacted us. Our team was able to induce vomiting immediately, helping remove the medication (and the chewed packaging) before it could cause more serious problems.
Pet Safety Reminder: Many medications and preventatives are flavored to make them easier to give, which can make them tempting for curious pets. Always store medications securely and out of reach.
If your pet gets into medication, call your veterinarian or a pet poison hotline immediately. Acting quickly can make all the difference.
