Our clinics will be closed on Monday May 26th in observance of Memorial Day. Please call Medvet Dayton at 937-293-2714 or Dayton Care Center at 937-428-0911 if your pet is experiencing a life-threatening medical emergency. We will reopen at normal business hours of 8am - 6pm on Tuesday May 27th.

It's Veterinary Receptionist Week and we have many to thank for their dedicated work in our clinics! Our front desk staff juggles so many responsibilities: fielding endless phone calls from clients scheduling appointments for their pets (including updates for the doctors and refill requests), cashing out clients for services and supplies, getting patients weighed and placed in exam rooms, cleaning our lobbies, consoling upset or grieving clients, updating patient charts, and performing end of day accounting tasks, to name a few! We couldn't operate without them! If you call the clinic this week, tell your receptionist how much you appreciate them!

Happy Heartworm Prevention Month! We will preface this post with the fact that this is NOT an April Fool's joke! :)

We are excited to announce that we will be carrying a new monthly preventative in clinic. Credelio Quattro is our new heartworm, flea, tick, and intestinal parasite preventative for dogs. This product will replace Simparica Trio and covers the same parasites as Simparica Trio but also includes tapeworm control. Like Trio, Credelio Quattro is a chewable tablet but has a plant-based flavoring, which may be an option for some our patients with protein-sensitive food allergies. The pricing is comparable to Trio but will offer coverage of an additional parasite. Our monthly flea/tick only preventative option, Simparica, will be replaced by a product called Credelio (also flea/tick preventative only). We will now start phasing out of Simparica Trio and Simparica (still available for a limited time - call ahead to ensure we still have your dog's strength in stock). The two Simparica options will still be available long-term through our online pharmacy (Vetcove), which you can access via our website by clicking the "online pharmacy" tab.
