Special Cabaret
Special Effort x Frenchmans Cabaret (Frenchmans Guy)
Special Cabaret brings a fresh combination of two of the industry's top lines. He is a direct son of the legendary Special Effort (SI 104, $1.2M on the track, PE $30M plus), who until 2024 was the only horse ever to win the Triple Crown of AQHA racing and is considered by many to be the best AQHA race horse of all time. Special Effortโs descendants are still prominent today on the track and in the barrel pen. His impact is truly exceptional, and โRaphaelโ is one of a very few direct sons still at stud, offering a unique opportunity to put Special Effort up close in a pedigree. He is out Frenchmans Cabaret (Frenchmans Guy x Caseys Charm), a full sister to Frenchmans Fabulous (LTE $290K, PE $5M, sire of 8 NFR qualifiers in barrels, roping and steer wrestling), who then sold to Fazenda Caruana in Brazil as a top broodmare for their program.
This mare is also 7/8 sibling to the great horses PC Frenchmans Hayday ("Dinero", LTE $400K+, offspring earnings $3M+), French Flash Hawk ("Bozo", multiple World Champion Barrel Horse and multiple time Barrel Horse of the Year), and noted broodmare PC Frenchmans Lisbet. These lines stand out in all levels of todayโs barrel and rope horses.
This lineage makes Raphael an ideal cross on both barrel and cow bred mares to produce barrel, roping, or all around performers. He has the right mix of athleticism and disposition, and he is passing this on to his offspring. Anyone who owns one of his foals has nothing but praise for their minds and temperaments.
With a very limited number of older offspring, and even fewer performing, he has produced earners in the barrel pen, most notably Dox Cabaret, a 1D winner and college rodeo winner in the Pacific Northwest, with earnings over $20K and still competing.
Incentives include Colorado Classic and VGBRA.
