We’re still here. Just spending a lot more time operating where we do best - the regulating, soothing, balancing, and healing world outside. Where it’s quiet enough to hear all the messages, and where everything in sight mirrors all there is to know, right back at you 🦉

As a one-lady small business, there’s a lot going on behind the scenes at any given time. Lots of ‘life’ they might say. It happened that some nature time in November also led to an extended period of rest as I heal from some injuries from a rough meeting of human-made bicycle meeting human-world pavement.

The social media presence may be very slight, but those who know my work, know the depth of care and consideration for the animals I work with, and their loving human care-takers and guardians.

Bringing this eclipse season to a close, the watery dark of the New Moon in Scorpio preparing us to dive deep with wherever we go this weekend. Get at least your feet in some cold, dark water. Metaphorically speaking, or other…

Sharing more astro insights on a beautiful retreat with at this weekend. Spots are full there but the apothecary and shop are open this weekend 🌚 and if you need additional astro guidance my books are open on the website.

• I vs. you vs. we vs. whole balance •

🌝 🌝 🌝

The last full moon before eclipse season (end of April - mid May), the first full moon of the astrological new year; of Spring, of newness, abundance, hope, perceived forward movement of the green sprouts shooting up out of the brown and waking Earth.

Full moons are oppositions in the sky, like a teeter-totter, there’s opposing forces at play. This one includes some sensitive points with old wounds and like any full moon, can bring up intense emotions.

Where’s the balance, and harmony with the ‘other’ (Libra) within the needs, wants, desires and frankly, demands of my self (Aries)?

What and where is the release point of the old wounds, triggers, and hurts of what this moment brings up and in with the full tide 🌊 of emotion?

I strive to help support the animal’s with their balance. To be effective with my work, I have to continually and consciously do my own work. Find my own balance. The self-aware ‘I’ within the ‘we’.

I’ve always known it’s how the best horse-rider partnerships work. Each being takes responsibility for their own end of the bargain. And we, being on the more demanding end of — carry me, stop here, no - back up, jump this, bend here — we, must find a way to harmonize and balance within the blend of horse and human.

What does astrology have to do with the animals? With riding? Well, nothing, we could say. But very simply put, if it helps to find more understanding within ourselves, more focus on working thru our own stuff so we can better show up for our loved four-legged (and sometimes two or less 🐓 🦆 🐍🦅)…

Well, than I’d say it has everything to do with it 💫✨🌕

* Right Track *

Did you know I almost named my practice Right Track Animal Healing?

After a long time considering it, mocking up cards and the like, I decided it didn’t match my core beliefs. Who was I, who is anyone, to determine what is the right track?

We are all on our own paths and tracks. Sometimes all the tracks are headed in the same direction, sometimes they even overlap. Some split, and continue in a totally different compass direction. Physically, spiritually. And it’s all okay. It’s all “right”. What is the track for one animal, will not be the track for another. Even the same species, same household, farm, even with the same human to caretake.

They’re all their own souls. And they’re all on the path that’s needed for them.

As we sit inbetween eclipses

I am reminded of all that we have access to in the inbetween spaces.

I took a walk this Samhain at dusk. Love those liminal inbetween spaces wherever I can find them. I was thinking a lot about ancestors, and not just blood ancestors, but all those who have come before me. Even the animals, sometimes inhabited by souls of elders, ones who’ve come before, who’ve seen so much. They all need honored. I was deep in thought and emotion when a small shadow moved right in front of me, right in my path.

I know frogs are all around, and the area I was in certainly has bog-type soils and occasionally standing water. It’s not a particularly wet night out though and it’s been months since I last saw a frog or toad.

It was so perfectly wet on its smooth skin, remarkably really. To be on dry land and be so perfectly hydrated. Seeing this frog immediately felt like a message. A traveler that could cross between worlds, passing thru to wherever it is needed most.

We visited for a few minutes as he just stayed right there and the remaining dusk light left the air. So grateful it crossed my own path tonight for some needed wisdom from beyond.

How are you honoring this season and all that has come before and also not yet? Even the hopping frog has a still point. A good moment to look around, in these inbetween spaces.

• connected kitties •

This is my friend Theo 🐾 After our latest session, I asked his wonderful human to place a few different crystals in areas Theo usually liked to be in.

I use crystals for all kinds of support in this work, in this case we needed some anchoring. His human reported that he had curled up on the chair with his paw perfectly touching the crystal she had placed there.

Between an extra loving momma, some crystal support, and healing sessions, he’s looking rather peaceful and content 💜✨
