⚠️ALL CLIENTS- PLEASE READ❗️
This post brings me great sadness but also is of great importance. Unfortunately after severe pain & 4 new diagnoses, I must begin to downsize my grooming business. My Rheumatologist stated there will be physical ramifications if I don’t. It’s apparent to all how special my clients & their canines are to me, so this is most heartbreaking.

After being misdiagnosed w/ fibromyalgia for the past 20+ weeks years with incorrect treatments, & having severe worsening of pain, I was referred to the amazing Arthritis Center in Altoona by Neurology.

I was diagnosed with a very rare blood protein disease called “HLA-B27”. This disease has sadly caused moderate Ankylosing Spondylitis, severe Bilateral Sacroiliitis with bone erosions & severe Psoriatic Arthritis. The damage shown on my MRI is irreversible.

The deterioration to my bones must be stopped immediately. Biologic Therapy, Stem Cell, Injections is the only way to stop the damage, & reduce the inflammation. I started the injections this week. Unfortunately not only is HLA-B27 rare it’s also very genetic. So far Hannah & my mom Jean have tested positive.

Over the years I’ve endured the pain of grooming larger & more difficult canines or families with multiple dogs, because of my love for them, no matter how long I hurt. Now that I know this is causing me damage, I no longer can do it. I’m praying about this and will follow what my body relays to me as I groom. Please know if over the next months I express I can no longer groom your pup, that it is a heartbreaking decision that wasn’t decided lightly. I truly love you all and I am so very sorry!! Please pray for my family and I as we navigate through this difficult time. God bless you all! ❤️

Happening today!! Join my granddaughter Callie, (my assistant) my Parti Poodle Myra and myself at our event today! We will have a grooming table set up with educational demonstrations and Myra is an Ambassador for poodle breed!!

The event will be filled with a Turkey Trot event, CGC evaluations, vendors, a costume contest and more! Come out to our event tomorrow!!

THIS SATURDAY October 21st, from 12PM - 4PM... join us for a day gone to the dogs! FREE ADMISSION! The first TWENTY people will receive a free gift bag! 🥰 We will have activities for everyone, bring your dog or learn how to be a responsible dog owner before bringing one home! I measure/portion out my poodles food and am very strict with treats. They only get small treats when training. I also don’t allow table scraps. Sadly I witness overweight dogs.
My words are, “An overweight dog is being loved to death! Literally “! Please closely monitor every dog’s weight ! Obesity takes years off their life! This is such an important topic to me!
