IMPORTANT UPDATE:
It breaks my heart to say that unfortunately we think Faithful either miscarried this litter of puppies or had a false pregnancy. She should have had puppies by now.
I have been really wrestling the past 2 weeks, while waiting for puppies, questioning “Why?” and honestly doubting God’s faithfulness this time around. For the past 4 years we have been breeding not once have we had this happen. God has always provided every color, every gender and everything we have needed down to the specifics. It’s been a testimony of His faithfulness and truly just a miracle and a neat way to tie the gospel into our puppy litters. Everyone on the waitlist feels seen when they get their puppy they wanted.
The thing that gives me peace is knowing that God does see the bigger picture and He really does know what is best for us and will orchestrate the details when we ask Him to. We have seen it time and time again with each of our puppy litters and even though this time is far from what we expected I do believe we have still seen His faithfulness.
I’m reminded of the verse Proverbs 3:5-6
5Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.
Our family is expecting Twins next year. I am a little half way through my pregnancy. In my head I thought doing a litter before the twins were born would be best. But, in reality the care of puppies is not easy. There is a lot of cleaning, responsibility and hard work that comes with having a litter of puppies to care for for 8 weeks. When I think about the time line, puppies would go home a month before I have the twins. And honestly, I should not be bending over and taking on more responsibilities right before the twins are born.
We were going to take next year off to let our family adjust to having twins. BUT if we know we have interest in another litter, it might be better timing to do it the middle of next year rather than now. It will most likely be warmer and puppies can spend time outside. A litter in warm weather is a little easier than a litter over winter.

This is all to say I know we had 4 people on our waitlist and a pending 5th person. If everyone wants to wait until next year we will try for another litter again.
