Meow Monday !
Meet Hanson a male cat who is estimated to be a year old. He is a very sweet boy who loves people. Hanson does have a leg that is slightly disformed, it does not bother him and he can get around just fine. Infact he uses it to his advantage, when he sleeps, he uses his leg to cover his eyes, and it is one of the cutest things you have ever seen. Hanson is a very well-behaved cat and even tolerated a bath since he has been at the Humane Society.

We are so excited to say that you can now pre-register for the Fast & Furriest 5k ! The 5K will start here at the Humane Society, with registration for the race starting at 7am. To pre-register just use the link below, you can also use the link to purchase a T- shirt if you are not wanting to participate in the actual race. There is also the option to walk a mile, walk a dog and the option to sponsor a dog to be walked.
Not a huge fan of running but still want to support our furry friends ? No problem we will also need volunteers to help out with the 5k, please contact [email protected] if you are interested in volunteering.

Meet our adopted animals from this week !
We adopted out two dogs Casper, Silvana and one puppy Pongo along with one cat Andre.

Meet Fallow (Abbey) a mixed breed female who is estimated to be 4 years old. Fallow is a medium sized girl. She is very sweet girl who has shown behavior that she gets along with other animals but a meet and greet is always recommended. Fallow was here has a puppy but due to her owner's health she had to come back, after almost four years of being adopted. If you think Fallow could be your furry best friend, please reach out to the Humane Society of Raleigh County. Or you can stop by the shelter on Gray Flats Road, Beckley anytime Tues-Sat from 11am to 4:30pm to meet this sweet girl who just needs a second chance. ❤️

We need your help finding our long term dogs their forever home !
With that being said we are starting long termer Tuesday. What is long termer Tuesday ? Simply put every Tuesday we will be posting one of our long term dogs in hope of finding them their forever home !
