Relaxed little Koda 🤍

Koda has been receiving regular massage for a couple of months now to help manage age related changes. He is also restless at night, showing signs of canine cognitive dysfunction. This makes it difficult for everyone at home to get a good nights sleep but after he gets his massage he sleeps well that night and everyone is well rested 💤💤💤

Portland pet parents, please listen up!

WE HAVE TICKS IN THE CITY! Do not for a second think that you have to go to the Columbia gorge or anywhere else in the state to encounter these pests. In the past two weeks I have found 3 dead ticks and one live one on my dog or her bed. She is on prevention and has only been on neighborhood walks during this time frame which means she picked them up here, at home, in the city.

Please check your dog for ticks daily, even if you are just walking your neighborhood.

I had the pleasure of meeting Elmer last week and he is such a cool guy who is looking for his forever home! Elmer was found on the streets of Turkey, assumed to have lived there his entire life but he has adjusted to being in a home so well! He is an older guy, enjoys walks and time in the yard but is content lounging on the sofa most of the day. Below is what his foster mama has to say about him.

Elmer is such a special boy. He is very mellow and go with the flow. He loves his daily walk and has perfect leash manners. Elmer gets along very well with my dogs and ignores the cat. He is completely house trained - has never had an accident and does not need to be crated when unsupervised, he is happy napping on the couch. Elmer is not interested in toys but is treat motivated and loves to just hang out outside in the yard. He has quickly learned how great pets and belly rubs are and can be quite the drama queen when he wants pets. Best feature is his relaxed personality, but he does have a silly streak.

Elmer is up for adoption through and his profile is available on pet finder.
