It's Veterinary Assistants Week, and today we're shining the spotlight on some vital team members who make our clinic a warm and welcoming place. From comforting nervous pets and supporting our doctors, to sharing laughs with coworkers and keeping the hospital running smoothly, our veterinary assistants do it all with compassion, dedication, and heart. 🧡

This week, we're excited to introduce some of the individuals who make up our incredible team so you can get to know them a little better, beyond the scrubs and stethoscopes. Each of these wonderful people brings something unique to our clinic family, and we are so grateful for everything they do for our patients, clients, and team every single day.

Thank you for your hard work, your kindness, and the love you pour into every pawprint that comes through our doors. 🐾

At AcutePet Urgent Care, we believe that caring for our team is super important. This year, the Easter bunny hopped by to help us with our 2nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt! 🐣🐰 With over 100 eggs hidden in our treatment areas and a few golden ones offering extra prizes; sparks of excitement and some friendly competition was brought out among the staff.

These moments of appreciation are one of the ways we support our truly dedicated team, ensuring they feel valued and recharged. Because when we care for our people, our people can take care of pets. 🧡

This brave little guy is Soot Sprite! He paid us a visit when he was having some tummy troubles that had his owner concerned. After a careful examination, we tested his stool for intestinal parasites. It's important to check for these unwanted guests since they can lead to health issues like diarrhea, weight loss, and anemia. We're happy to report that Soot Sprite's results were negative.
With a tailored treatment plan focusing on symptomatic care, this playful boy was quickly on his way to feeling better! If your furry friend is experiencing similar issues, we're here to help!

This handsome guy, Ranger, came in to see us for a torn dewclaw. What started out looking mild quickly became painful, awkwardly angled, and a little too tempting to lick, so his owners did the right thing and brought him in right away.

Ranger’s family worked with Dr. Quigley and our team to create a treatment plan to keep him comfortable. He received pain medication and a sedative so we could safely remove the torn nail, fully evaluate the area, and place a temporary bandage.

Our team monitored Ranger closely during sedation to make sure all of his vitals stayed right where they should be. Part of the sedation was reversed, and he woke up doing great, sporting a very cool temporary bandage.

Ranger went home with pain meds and strict instructions to wear his e-collar when not under direct supervision (no sneaky licking allowed!). The best part? Thanks to his fast-acting owners, antibiotics weren’t needed this time.

Great job, Ranger, and great job to his owners for catching this early! 🧡

This week we are celebrating National Veterinary Receptionist Week.

Our Client Care Representatives are the ones who pick up the phone when worry hits, welcome clients through the door, and keep everything moving behind the scenes—often all at once. They’re answering questions, offering reassurance, and making sure every pet and person feels supported from the very start.

Urgent care can be fast, emotional, and unpredictable, but they handle it with patience, compassion, and a whole lot of heart.
They’re the steady presence at the center of it all—and we are so grateful for everything they do.

Please continue to help us celebrate them during this very special week and drop a 🧡 or any way our team has helped you or your family in the comments. They deserve all the love. 🐾

🐾 Meet Keely! 🐾

In honor of Pet Poison Prevention Week, we’re sharing Keely’s story as an important reminder of how quickly curious pets can get into trouble.

This brave girl had quite the adventure when she decided to snack on something she shouldn’t have—Advil and an orange! 😳 As many pet parents know, ibuprofen can be toxic to our furry friends, and Keely needed quick action.

Dr. Quigley sprang into action, crafting a treatment plan with Keely's family. The steps included:
✔️ Inducing vomiting with Apomorphine (our hero!)
✔️ Administering activated charcoal (which Keely thought was a tasty treat!)
✔️ Providing fluids under her skin
✔️ Giving her an anti-nausea injection

Thanks to our awesome team, Keely was able to clear her system and is now happily on the mend from her little snack mishap 🧡

Pet Poison Prevention Week is a great reminder to keep medications and toxic foods safely out of reach—because even the most well-loved pets can be a little too curious sometimes.

If your pet ever gets into something they shouldn’t, don’t wait—reach out right away. We’re here when you need us.

Okay, we'll admit it — we're still buzzing from Midwest Veterinary Conference. ⚡

Getting face time with veterinarians and their teams is what it's all about for us. The conversations were real, the energy in the room was incredible, and our team left genuinely fired up about the work ahead.

There's nothing like a room full of people who love this industry as much as we do.

To everyone who stopped to chat with us — you reminded us exactly why we do this. 🧡 What we heard reinforced why we do this work and how important it is to continue showing up as a trusted partner to local practices.

This past Valentine’s Day, two of our staff members (Em and Kyra) put together a small mystery treat for the rest of the staff members. Each staff member got a handmade mailbox filled with candy and a handmade veterinary-related Valentine’s Day card. 🧡

We’re grateful for a team that brings so much heart and positivity into the clinic every day! It is all part of the care we care we share with your pets.

Happy to all the pets who made us fall in love. 🧡 They’re where it all began.

Now we have the privilege of loving yours, too. 🐾

Every happy wag. Every gentle head boop. Every tiny paw placed in our hands.
The floor sits, the belly rubs, the extra cuddles during treatment — it’s truly one of the best parts of what we do.

Thank you for trusting us with the pets who mean the world to you.
Drop a photo of your pet or your pet’s name in the comments so we can celebrate them, too!

Every day, we get to see what unconditional love looks like —
a worried pet parent,
a loyal companion,
and a bond that runs deep. 🧡

This Valentine’s Day, we’re celebrating that kind of love. The real, everyday, always-showing-up kind.

We’re honored to care for the ones who love you most. 🐾

What happens when veterinarians decide they want to build something better?

You get 𝗔𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗣𝗲𝘁.

Dr. Hoffman recently joined the Beavercreek Chamber of Commerce podcast to talk about how AcutePet was born — the gaps we saw in the industry, the heart behind the model, and why urgent care done right can change everything for pets, families, and veterinary teams.

This episode shares the “why” behind what we do every day. We’re proud of the story. And we’re just getting started. 🧡

This week's episode is live!

Check out our pet-tastic conversation with Dr. Doug Hoffman from AcutePet Urgent Care to learn about the clinic and his veterinarian journey!

The best part of what we do? Moments like these. 🧡

Meet Jesse, who came to see us at our Beavercreek, OH location with some tummy troubles. After thorough diagnostics and treatment to get to the bottom of her vomiting and diarrhea, she was on the mend—and clearly enjoying some well-deserved TLC from our RVT Shannon. These quiet moments of comfort are just as important as the medical care we provide.

There's nothing quite like seeing a patient relax and knowing they're feeling better. This is why we do what we do. 🐾

Feeling the holiday hustle? Your furry family might be able to help. 🐾

Here's something pretty amazing: when you slow down and spend quality time with your pet—whether it's a gentle walk, a quiet cuddle session, or just sitting together—your bodies actually sync up. Your breathing, heart rate, and stress levels can align in what researchers call "biological attunement." It's like you're both calming down together.

And it works both ways. When you're relaxed, they feel it. When they're peaceful, you feel it too.

This holiday season, try this: place your hand on your pet's side while they rest. Take three slow breaths together. Notice how you both settle into that moment. No agenda, no rush—just connection.

Sometimes the best stress relief doesn't come from doing more. It comes from pausing with the ones who love us most unconditionally. 🧡
