Today, we pause to remember Natural Resources Officer Jason Lagore, who gave his life in service on February 23, 2021, while responding to a call at Rocky Fork State Park. His dedication, courage, and passion for protecting others - both people and natural resources - left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Officer Lagore’s expertise in training and working with K9s, along with his unwavering commitment to duty, set an example for us all. Though his loss is deeply felt, his legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the work we continue in his honor.

Please join us in keeping his family, friends, and colleagues in our thoughts today. We are forever grateful for his service and the sacrifices made by all who protect and serve.
