Final update: They are going to another rescue WITH mom. One has a birth defect. Being with momma a bit longer will be beneficial.

Update...This intake might not happen...The person whose porch they're on had a VERY ugly experience with another small rescue. Because of that, the kittens might not receive help. When the kittens were posted by an independent TNR activist, someone immediately commented something negative towards the person posting. A comment that was based in emotional reaction and void of any actual facts. People if we cannot approach this through love, we're going to cause kitties to miss their best chances at help. We have to change our mindset and start working together. I'm doing my best to negotiate this intake. To be continued. 😿

So many people think that a "free" kitten is free 😿 Free kittens being handed out breaks my heart. Free kittens being sought after is a red flag and I explain why ..

Unless you're a completely irresponsible person, and shouldn't have a pet in the first place, each animal rescued is a small fortune up front, followed by a lifetime of financial commitment on the entire back. (Yes even for the truly responsible and truly financially hardship'd person that cannot afford surgery, but still provides lifetime care...it is STILL costly!) Adopting a pet is a responsibility. Average 15-20 years of RESPONSIBILITIES. 💯‼️

Every single kitten, that a reputable rescue is posting for adoption, has roughly $250 invested in them before 16 weeks of age 🤯 And our adoption fee is currently $75. Do the math. It leaves our funds depleted 😿 And also sends me red flags for people that think a "free" kitten is a better option. 🤔

We have operated in the red this entire year. We didn't close. We actually did intakes beyond our capacity at the time. Now those surgeries are happening as scheduled and we really need you.

I'm hoping that you'll understand the gravity of this. Yesterday I paid over $150 for 2 kitten surgeries. The adopter paid $75 total towards both kittens....the 2nd kitten was a special intake and there was no adoption fee. The money HAS to be paid ..for each kitty. Food has to be purchased when donation food is low. Litter. Supplies. Internal parasites. External parasites. Dawn. Pads. Beds. Carriers. Crates. Formula. Immune boosters. A kitten scale. Heating pads. ETC. The $250 is if the kittens are healthy. Medical vet visits add on majorly. A sick kitten terrifies me! It could sink us!

Update: The tortie was reserved for adoption yesterday! Someone that has followed our page for a loooong time saw that little girl and adopted her yesterday!! They are waiting until she can come home! That's so amazing!! This long-time supporter knew exactly which kitten was meant to be hers! I couldn't be happier!❤️

Lookie here!!! They happened to be born in a paradise location. 4 babies. We're letting them continue to nurse for optimal immune system development. We're getting ready for intake around Sept 19-22. I'll be checking on them personally soon. It definitely takes a village! These wheels keep turning and financial assistance is required daily. Without YOU this isn't possible! Yes momma will be spayed.

We are volunteers that pay the same veterinary service charges as the general public. There is no discount available for us. We cannot run a tab for veterinary service. We literally depend upon your support!

Butler county offers FREE, Pittsburgh offers FREE... you guys have no idea how absolutely envious I am!!
Beaver County 🤷‍♀️

After more than a yearlong pause, Pittsburgh residents can once again apply for the city's free spay and neuter program for pets.

The program was paused in February 2024, after an evaluation that uncovered “inappropriate” and “disingenuous” uses for the free service, including non-residents falsifying addresses to access it.
