Ooh La La … Look at this custom ranch work saddle Phelix Custom Saddlery in Virginia made for me! Charlotte and Tim are great to work with … they came to the stable, we tried several saddles and they took ideas from each and what fit the Gypsy Vanner boys and me best and built just the right fitting saddle. Yes, I love it. Now they are building a show saddle for me.

Gypsy Vanner Summer Show in Virginia was wonderful last weekend. The casual Hawaiian theme and the competitive yet friendly atmosphere was amazing. Thank you J and S Equestrian Events. We cheered and we laughed and we helped each other. My thanks to everyone at the show for encouraging me and lending a hand when I was overloaded. Freelands Gypsy Atlas and Freelands Gypsy Phoenix continue to amaze me as they grow and develop. This is hard work for them and me with early morning rides to beat the heat, new challenges, and lots of lessons being learned for them and me. I love the quiet alone time working with them - They are truly loved and trusted and are my partners and that is what matters most. I love those two boys so much I could eat them with the spoon!! Christina Hutton … your hard work with me and them is greatly appreciated. ❤️

Folks often ask what takes place at the Stable when we are not riding horses… Today is an example of plenty of things happening between lessons, riding, feeding and cleaning stalls. The other happenings today included mowing, cleaning, door maintenance, deliveries, clipping and more mowing!

The young people from Huggins Memorial Baptist Church “verse dispersed” the stable with signs this evening ❤️ Lots of Bible verses and scripture lessons being taught, learned and shared. Come worship at God’s growing church on Harkers Island.

Freelands Gypsy Atlas and Freelands Gypsy Phoenix are headed to VA next week. (Yes, we will be traveling in the wee hours to dodge the heat.) Thank you J and S Equestrian Events for putting on this GVHS show!

Sunday morning … I felt like I was being watched. There’s Otis - on guard. We spotted him in the woods years ago and he was one tired, hungry and rough looking little fella. Now he runs the stable. 🐈
