The Bud Sperry "Old Cowboy" Memorial Scholarship Rollover Auction is one of our favorite traditions because it does both.

What began in memory of Bud has grown into an opportunity to support North Dakota High School Rodeo seniors as they take the next step in their education and rodeo careers.

During this year's sale on Aug. 9, you can help continue that legacy by bidding on two custom breast collars or one of two pasture breedings to a Sperry stallion.

Together, we'll honor the old cowboys who showed us the way by investing in the next generation that's carrying it forward.

Every GOOD HORSE starts somewhere.

Before they ever earn a job, they learn something even more important — that people can be TRUSTED.

That first experience matters.

We take our time introducing each foal to a halter because confidence isn't forced. It's earned through patience, consistency and respect.

Tom Dorrance said it well:
"First you go with the horse. Then the horse goes with you. Then you go together."

That's been the Sperry philosophy for generations.

It's one of the first steps in raising horses that are willing, confident and ready to become the using kind.
