🌫️ Air Quality Alert for Ocean County Dog Owners 🐾

Smoke from the Canadian wildfires has made its way into New Jersey, causing poor air quality across Ocean County. While we all enjoy getting outside with our dogs, today is a good reminder that they can be affected by smoke just like we can.

If your dog has asthma, breathing issues, is a senior, a puppy, or is a flat-faced breed (Bulldogs, Pugs, Frenchies, etc.), it's especially important to limit outdoor activity until air quality improves.

🐶 Help Keep Your Dog Safe:
✅ Keep walks short and avoid strenuous exercise.
✅ Provide plenty of fresh water.
✅ Keep windows closed if smoke is noticeable.
✅ Wipe your dog's paws and coat after being outside.
✅ Watch for coughing, watery eyes, heavy panting, or unusual tiredness.
✅ If your dog seems to be struggling to breathe, contact your veterinarian immediately.

Your dog's health comes first. Training can always wait a day—keeping them safe can't. ❤️

🎓🐾 Another Group of OFF LEASH K9 TRAINING Jersey Shore Graduates! 🐾🎓

It's been a busy month over here, and we apologize for the delay in sharing all of these amazing pups! These are just a handful of our recent graduates, and we couldn't be prouder of each and every one of them.

Every dog came to us with their own unique personality and training goals, and it's been incredible watching them grow in confidence, obedience, and communication with their families.

🎆🐾 DON'T LET FIREWORKS TURN INTO A MISSING DOG! 🐾🎆

The Fourth of July is one of the busiest days of the year for lost pets. Even the most confident, well-trained dogs can panic when fireworks start.

Take a few extra minutes to prepare—it could save your dog's life.

🇺🇸 Fourth of July Safety Tips:
🐶 Keep your dog indoors during fireworks.
🦮 Always use a leash—even with reliable recall.
📍 Make sure your dog is wearing an ID tag and, if possible, a GPS collar.
🏠 Create a quiet, comfortable space inside your home.
🚪 Keep doors and gates securely closed.
🚗 Never leave your dog outside alone during fireworks.
🎾 Exercise your dog earlier in the day to help burn off energy.
🎵 Play calming music or white noise to help mask the sound.
💙 Watch for signs of stress like pacing, shaking, excessive panting, hiding, or trying to escape.

Remember... training builds confidence, but management keeps dogs safe. Even our best-trained dogs deserve extra precautions on holidays like this.

The temperatures are rising this weekend, and what feels warm to us can be dangerous for our dogs.

☀️ Hot pavement can burn paws in seconds.
🚗 Never leave your dog in a parked car—even for a minute.
💧 Provide plenty of fresh water and shade.
🐕 Exercise during cooler morning and evening hours.

Remember: If it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws!

🎉🐾 Shea graduated our 2 Week Board & Train today!! 🐾🎉

Shea came to us with a really great foundation, but mom needed a little extra help building Shea’s confidence and working through her reactivity. Shea would react to strangers and dogs passing by, and would often run away or hide when new people came into the house. He was a very nervous pup.

Today, Shea went home with so much more confidence, and mom now has the tools and leadership skills to help guide Shea through him insecurities. 💪🐶

We are so proud of this boy! He did AMAZING today — no more reacting, and he was happy, confident, and focused right by mom’s side. ❤️

Great job Shea and mom! 🎓🐾
