Polo and I are proud and honored to join the American Cancer Society for their Real Men Wear Pink campaign. This campaign is dedicated to raising awareness and funds to help move closer to a world free of the pain and suffering from Breast Cancer. We believe that everyone can do something small to make a BIG difference.

The Making Strides in Central Park Walk is extremely meaningful to us. Three years ago, I took Polo to Central Park in his little pink suit as part of his “Polo Runs NY” (PoloForMayor) theme, yet it turned into something bigger than that. I saw a vision I’ve never seen before, and was overwhelmed with an extremely powerful realization. How does my dog make thousands of people smile? I witnessed the power of the love that Polo gives to people just when they needed the support they so deserved to have. Brave survivors and fighters kneeled to hug Polo becoming teary eyed out of the joy of holding him. I instantly felt something inside of me. I told myself this is it, this what we were put together to do. It inspired us to continue to make those who battle illnesses of all types, feel the love that Polo and I have to give.

This mission we're on, hasn't been easy, it hasn't been such a “walk in the park”, as they say, but somehow, some way, we do it. This is our calling. This is what we love to do and our supporters help keep us going. It is YOU that gives us the opportunity to keep spreading love and continue to help those that need us. It never gets old, walking into a children's hospital, seeing sick kids, putting a smile on their faces... Sitting there talking to them for a few minutes, putting Polo on their bed, giving love to each other, being able to bring new energy into their day, it's something special! It was a great day with beautiful kids! 🐶❤️👦👶👧

I woke up today feeling like something was missing, thought to myself we haven't been to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital since November, so I called up the volunteers department and asked if Polo and I can come in, she said "Of course, we miss you guys"

Walking through those hallways seeing Polo interact with the nurses and the patients really lifted up the energy. We probably saw 15 patients and their families, but the last one really touched me. We sat down with a lady from out of the country and spoke about life a little, she told me she was missing something today too, turned out she had 3 dogs back home and hasn't seen them in a few weeks. She hugged Polo tight, gave him some kisses, and said we made her day. I guess you can say we made each other's day though 🙏

Never know what to expect walking into a hospital , it's hard to see the children sick and the families sad , but it's a blessing to see a dog make them smile and live in the moment. Always love when we walk into Cohens Childrens Medical Center! 🐶❤️🏥
