TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️ warning ‼️
Images are terrible

We want to sincerely thank the heroes that helped save these abandoned puppies!
We are all so aware the evil that exists surrounding abuse and neglect. We already hear, everyday, about humans breaking the commitments that they promised to keep.
While some of these images are unsettling, we want to thank the beautiful souls that decided to stop and help when they witnessed six pups wandering down a road. People like you are what keeps hope alive.

These pups are now safe, in foster, getting the love and medical care they need.

🌍 Host an International Student & Help Local Animals! 🐾

We’re looking for kind-hearted families to host an international high school student through Youth For Understanding (YFU) — and here’s a chance to make a difference in TWO lives at once!

💙 For every host family found through this post, The Humane Society of Bay County will receive a $300 referral fee to help with animal care and shelter costs!
Meet our amazing students:

🐶 Peeretas dreams of becoming a veterinarian and would love to live with a family that has pets. His passion for animals makes him a perfect fit for any animal-loving household!

🐱 Julin, a proud recipient of the prestigious CBYX Scholarship, is a devoted cat lover who would thrive in a home with feline friends.

Hosting is a life-changing experience — for you and for them. You’ll gain a new family member, share your culture, and help shape a young person’s future.

🐾 Looking for a furry friend? Come meet your new best friend at our cattery! 🐱💕

While kittens may be stealing the spotlight, our adult cats are quietly waiting for someone just like you. Here are three reasons why adopting an adult cat might be the purr-fect choice:

✨ What you see is what you get — adult cats already have established personalities
✨ They’re typically past the “climb-the-curtains” stage
✨ Many are just looking for a cozy lap and a second chance at love

Stop by during our normal business hours to visit the cattery and meet the cats ready to go home today!

👁🦩 The Birds Are Watching... 🦩👁

Something strange is happening in Bay City.

Pink birds are popping up on lawns … silently staring… never blinking. 👀
No one knows who sent them.
No one knows who’s next.
But one thing is certain — the birds are watching.

It’s all part of The Flockening, our flamingo fundraiser to support the Humane Society of Bay County! 🐾

Want to flock a friend? Or protect your lawn from the pink invasion?
You’ve got options — but act fast before the flock chooses you.

📢 You can be a hero for homeless pets—and check something off your to-do list! 🐾💡

It’s true! Helping animals in need is as easy as saving your returnable cans and bottles. ♻️🐶🐱

Drop them off anytime in the back parking lot at the Humane Society of Bay County
📍 1607 Marquette Ave., Bay City, MI
(there is a gravel area with a deck box for cans and bottles, just leave them there!)

Every can and bottle adds up to lifesaving care—food, medical support, and the chance for every pet to find a loving forever home. 🏡💖

Your recyclables = real change for our furry friends.
Let’s turn trash into hope—one can at a time! 💪🐾

✨ Share this post and help us spread the word!
Together, we can make tails wag and hearts full. 💕
