New addition to the family and new future for the new kennel name “Kryptonite”. Welcome this sweet lady name “Charm” Quail Ridge Kryptonite Southern Belle, so far she’s a little spitfire full of spunkiness very smart learner. Hello and Welcome everyone to Kryptonite Miniature American Shepherds! I know it’s been a minute since I’ve posted on here, Peaches is in a semi retirement “maturing up” for a bit that’s why we haven’t been to any shows lately. Now as you all can see there has been a new kennel name change back in March to Kryptonite Miniature American Shepherds. We’re no longer HyKrest anymore I made a decision back in early January that I was going to change our pet sitting name that I’ll probably change my actual breeding kennel name as well and I did so in the end of March. Reason I made the decision to change is because HyKrest Kennels had no meaning to the name. When we moved to a new location last year with a whole new home, new property and a new setup for everything that’s when I decided back in January I wanted to change my pet sitting name to my farm name with a little twist to Rustic Skye (with a “e”) Dog Sitting instead of “Sky”, so why not change my kenneling name as well but I wanted a meaning to the name change. When I came across Kryptonite it hit me like it was the one that’s the name and when I researched the name and to find the right meaning since everyone knows that Kryptonite was Superman’s enemy and I didn’t want everybody to start think my new kennel name is from Superman or has a hatred meaning. Here’s my “why” for you all, why I retired HyKrest Kennels and changed it to Kryptonite Miniature American Shepherds. I’m retiring myself from the Australian Shepherds for a bit kinda taking a break but the LOVE I have for my Aussies wether it’s Australian Shepherds or Miniature American Shepherds is so unconditional that I can’t explain and the love that they give in return is so unreal. My heart for the Australian Shepherds will always always be there no matter what and heck who knows we might get an Australian Shepherd down the road. Just because I’m “done” with the Australian Shepherds for a bit I’m not “done” with my Miniature American Shepherds. I’m their Kryptonite just like they are to me and the love we share means so much more to me than some will ever understand. So everyone welcome to Kryptonite Miniature American Shepherds.
