A big shout-out to Feliciana Retriever Club and all their hard working members on a very well run D/Q this weekend.. Also thank you to the Anderson family for generously allowing the use of their beautiful farm...and finally the Qualifying judges Jeff Gruber and Andrew Prevost for setting up quality tests and finishing a 43 dog qualifying in 1 day!!!

Our training group was fortunate to get the Qualifying win for Mark Polkey's youngster Kya..Down Da Bayou's Wheredacrawfish Sing..

Kya never had a misstep all day....I was very honored to stand beside her. Enjoy that QAA Mark!!!!

Junior, owned by Chris Bourgeois had a very nice day and got the Reserve Jam..

Sable, owned by David Brewerton and a littermate to Kya got a Jam in her 1st Qual.

Babe, owned by Blayne Kiff got a Jam as well running a nice Qual.

Our training group was well represented with Scott Arceneaux and Tru getting a Jam in Tru's 1st Qual...and David G. Lowrance stepped from the hunt test to the field trial world and got a Jam in his 1st Qual with Alli.

And a huge Congrats as well to Stefanie Stoll and Fuller on a Derby Jam in her 1st competitive event..

And a special thank you to my good friend Ron Anderson, who along with Scott keep pushing me to make our dogs better!!!

We started out the SRS season at Pontchartrain HRC's Inaugural event...Wow...beautiful grounds, great tests, fair judging, and extremely cold temps!!!!

We were fortunate to get a 2nd place finish for GRHRCHx5 Harley, MNH. This gives Harley 27 SRS points and just needs the win for her title.She now goes on maternity leave since she is bred and will be having pups in a few weeks...

Congrats Chuck Leblanc and Harley!!!

Also a huge congratulations to David Lowrance and Alli on her 4th place finish in the Am.

Cypress is a 2.5 yo Black Lab Female....She is started level...Steady and Force fetched and has been hunted. Clean and quiet in a kennel or crate....

Cypress is extremely well bred....NFC Floyd x MH Ali Dam....

She has not been with us for formal training but due to owners health issues he is forced to sell. I have had her for 2 weeks and she is a really nice started dog.

We wrapped up a great week in Giddings, TX at the Master National!! Challenging tests, fair judging, lots of camaraderie with a great group of handlers....Special thanks to some of the hardest workers; Jeff Bundy, Jim and Nancy Bauer, and Derek Randle ....also thanks to our judges Laura Judd and Mike Couture...What a great week. We walked away passing 9 of 11 dogs including:

We wrapped up a very tough Spring Grand in Wisconsin with 5 total passes for Team Chumac....

7XGRHRCH SRSC SRSAC Winston MNH owned by Wesley Hamm got his 7th pass at nearly 11 years old....This will be Winston's last Grand as he will now be retired to take care of the Hamm Household...

6XGRHRCH Poppi MNR owned by Mark Polkey passed her 6th Grand...She has accomplished quite a lot in her 5 years but even more exciting things are on the horizon for her...Be on the lookout for Poppi pups hitting the hunt test circuit this fall.

New GRHRCH SRSACC SRSC SRSAC Rip, MH QA2 Owned by Ron Anderson added another title to his ever expanding resume. What a Spring he has had. An Open 2nd, an Amateur 2nd...an SRS Open win and now a Grand Pass to give him his Grand title. Rip becomes Team Chumac's 70th Grand Champion!!!

HRCH Chumac's Californis Girl, MH owned by Mike Guillory got her 1st Grand pass as a 2year old. The future is very bright for this little girl!!

We had a great time competing with lots of friends at the Feliciana Classic SRS event in beautiful St. Francisville, LA.

We got a 3rd place finish with Mark Polkey's impressive dog Cutter. This qualifies Cutter for the SRS Crown Championship in October.

Cutter joins Rip, Bailey and Nado as qualifiers for Team Chumac.

Huge thank you to Shannon Nardi and Matt Emeraon and all the SRS crew as well as judges AL Arthur and Glen Scarborough who set up some very challenging tests.
