Yall. I was called a $c@mm3r today. (I can't say the word or the bots will start posting like crazy.)
It was a solid 3 messages in to our very 1st convo ever, and it was because I explained that we are a biosecure property and I don't allow anyone on my property except for family and close friends. For the protection of my dogs. Boom. Called me the S-Word. 🤣 🤷♀️ girl bye.
Day before yesterday I CAUGHT an S-word messaging me pretending to be a potential puppy parent. I realized it too late after I had already sent pictures. 😭😭 I'm sad that they're probably going to be using my puppy pics to rob people.
So I thought this would be a good opportunity to share some reminders about these bad people, since they're getting really good at tricking people. Even me.
My top 4 tips for spotting a $c@mm3r is:
1. Creep their profile or their page. Look to see that they're not a brand new account, they're interacting with other people, that they have other people sharing pupdate pics or reviews, look to see how many friends or followers they have- if they have very few of any of those- stay away. On the other hand- if they post like 100 times a day- stay away! Ain't nobody got time for that except a bot 🤣
2. If someone is pushy about getting you to send them dollars or commit, jump ship! No one should be pushy or rude. Ever. This is a potential 15 year commitment and you need to be sure. Now I'll admit- I don't hold or reserve pups until someone has committed, but im never going to be like "send me hundreds of $$ now!" 🤣
3. If the person is trying to negotiate or make deals with you- run. If they're talking about throwing in extras if you commit, that's wierd. Being accommodating is one thing, like if I offer to meet you so you don't have to drive so far. But I'm not going to be like "make the deal now and I'll come down to half and throw in a free car and shipping!" 🤣
4. If they have the most desirable colors in the exact s*x you wanted and they're always waaaaay more reasonable than everyone else, that's fishy. Like...if thats the case, how do they still have them available? Fake.
Also Remember: if you ever need someone to look at a page for you, feel free to send it over and I'll check it out! My pups aren't for everyone, and that's ok. But I would rather help you find someone that's legit than for you to get tricked.
Gnite we**ie fam! ✌️
