🚨 Poison Prevention Awareness Week – Day 3! 🚨

🐶 Watch out for Xylitol! 🐾 This common sugar substitute is highly toxic to dogs and can be found in everyday household items like:

🦷 Toothpaste
🍪 Baked goods
🧴 Deodorants
💊 Medications
🍬 Sugar-free gum & foods

Even small amounts can cause dangerous drops in blood sugar, seizures, or even liver failure in dogs. Always check ingredient labels and keep xylitol-containing products out of reach!

My name is Keara Wilson, and I graduated from Wilmington College in May 2024 with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. Shortly after graduation, I began working at Hillside. I recently got married and now reside in Adams County with my husband, Nick, our two dogs, Milah and Dixie, and our cat, Cinnamon, who only responds to "Kitty."

In my free time, I enjoy riding and showing horses, as well as spending time with my family. I plan to enroll in the Penn Foster Vet Tech program soon. My experience at Hillside has already taught me so much, and I look forward to growing further in this field.
