Here is a little dove texel buck of mine! A lot of people don’t know that this coat quality for most lines is only like this during ONE stage in their lives! Many texels grow out of this stage pretty quickly! This also goes for angora! Of course the goal is to keep this length as long as possible, but when breeders express that texel is a hard gene to get right, they don’t mean coat length and curl, because that’s the easy part! This boy isn’t even my best example nor will he stay like this!

For people looking to adopt or have adopted from me, I would love for you to join this group. I have a huge waitlist of people and it would be much easier to have y’all in this group plus I’m always interested in what my adopters and future adopters get up to with their rodents! This will also be a good way to see what I have available sooner!

Update to my previous post! Looks like I found the non satin version of the golden boy I found! He indeed has points developing as well! They seem to be the same. You can see a huge contrast from the white satin texel I placed as well for a visual comparison! All of them come from pointed parents! Just really nice dark Siam or? It’s such an odd golden color on the satin boy lol!

This group has blue, chocolate, possible recessive xblack on the father’s side, tricolor, splash, Siam, himi. However none of the moms look like them!

Mouse people! I seem to have produced this golden pointed mouse with VERY nice points for a gold color. This was out of my colony of c-dilute texels. Blue, chocolate,agouti(maybe?), albino, himi, Siam, splash, and tricolor are all in there. The only thing I can think of is chocolate or some agouti at play because agouti c-dilutes are one of the weirdest gene combos I’ve ever had to work with visually. Father I know is possibly recessive xblack siam. I don’t think any of the mothers carry xblack.
