Update: she’s home safe!!

Mae is my friends dog, she was last seen running from her home on S 2nd St in Lake Wales toward S 1st St. Her retractable leash dragging behind her as she pulled it out of her owners hand.

She’s likely terrified as the sound of the leash dragging made her take off full speed. She’s never been away from home this long and her mom is so worried. She is not microchipped. Please share and let us know if you see her!

We hate to ask for money, but we still have several dogs in our care, those pictured below, plus a few others. We need to raise funds for spays for some of the dogs, plus the cost of food and monthly prevention.
The surgeries alone we suspect will cost close to $2000 because 4 of the dogs needing to be spayed are large female bullies, one has a hernia and one entropion. If you’re interested in adopting anyone let us know!

Update: owner found, she gave the dog away and the neither she nor the new owner want him back.

Dog found on Lauren Court in Bartow. Followed my husband and one of our dogs home from a run. No chip or info on collar. Covered in fleas unfortunately. Intact male. Let me know if anyone you know is missing this guy! He’s super friendly!
Must provide proof of ownership.

Coco Puffs is still looking for a home!
He’s good with small kids, dogs of all sizes and ages (as you can see in the video), pretty good with cats too!
He has basic obedience and manners and can be trusted not to destroy your furniture
He’s crate and house trained, and knows how to use a dog door.
He walks well on leash and also is a good running and biking partner for his foster dad.
He’s also sooo sweet and biddable. Coco Puffs doesn’t have a mean bone in his body and just wants to be loved. I don’t know how many more good things I can say about this boy, he’s honestly the whole package!
He’s about 75 lbs, 2 years old, neutered, UTD on vaccines and prevention, and tested heartworm negative

Suki is still looking for her forever home! She’s the brown girl in the middle 💕

**Sokka was adopted!

We got an updated picture of the last two available puppies! The girl in the middle is Suki, and the boy on the right is Sokka. The boy on the left has been adopted by their foster 💕

They’re puggle/catahoula/heinz 57 mixes and will likely be medium sized dogs. Very well socialized with all types of animals and people (children included) they’re almost 4 months old now and looking for their forever homes!
Their adoption fee is now only $100 with an approved application. They’re microchipped, UTD on vaccines, dewormed, and will be spayed/neutered and get rabies vaccines at 6 months included in the adoption fee!

Coco Puffs is still looking for his person! His foster is going out of town in about a week so we’re hoping he can find a forever home before then. Coco is a total gem of a dog, he’s about 2 years old and a big boy at about 75 lbs.
Even though he’s big, he’s a gentle boy! As pictured below he’s kid safe, his foster said he was great with the kids! He’s also great with all other dogs he’s met and I’m pretty sure he’s cat safe as well.

Coco is an excellent running partner and has been doing great going for 1-2 mile jogs every morning, but could probably go longer. He’s house trained and kennel trained, and he’s pretty good about not chewing anything up around the house too! He’s also learned to use the doggy door. We don’t know what type of dog Coco is but he’s a total lover. He loves to play and cuddle and is really just down for anything.

Coco is neutered, UTD on vaccines and prevention, microchipped, and heartworm negative.

Rescue never ends, even when we are closed 🤦🏼‍♀️

Last Wednesday afternoon I got a call from animal control that Eli had been picked up and they were going to attempt to bring him by the adopter’s house. We never heard anything else about it until we got an email from the adopter, she had to return him, and she didn’t live at that address anymore, and no longer had a phone or vehicle. She gave us the number of who we assume is her ex. Since we never heard an update from Animal Control we assumed he was dropped off back with someone who didn’t want him. We called and texted the number provided, even knocked on the door to no prevail. Thankfully we decided to check animal control again and they did have our boy, and with the email we were able to prove he was being given back to us and get him back.

We believe poor Eli was dumped or let loose by the ex to fend for himself. For that we feel awful, Eli’s original owners trusted us to find him the perfect home and we failed, but all that matters now is he is back safe with us.

If anyone would like to adopt or foster Eli, let us know. He’s a 6.5-7 year old Australian Shepherd, good with dogs with a proper introduction, loves all adults and older kids. He “herds” small kids so we don’t recommend a home with little ones for him. House and crate trained and has basic obedience.
