Meet the Team Behind NEK Equine Expo – A Lifelong Friendship Fueled by Horses 🐴💫

Beth Martin and Chelsea Cummings have been best friends since kindergarten – brought together by crayons and snack time and bonded forever by their love of horses.

They started riding lessons and trail rides together at just five years old and quickly earned their reputation as the “crazy horse girls.” Over the years, they shared countless rides, barn chores, and horse show memories — including a special connection through their beloved Morgans, who were full brother and sister. NEQuinox was named in honor of those two horses who helped shape their journey.

Now, decades later, they’re still side-by-side — supporting each other, cheering on each other’s horses, and building the Northeast Kingdom Equine Expo together. Their friendship and shared passion are at the heart of everything they do. ❤️🐎

It's only 8 AM and already 73°F with 82% humidity… That puts the heat index at a sweltering 155! And it’s only going up from here today and tomorrow.

New business alert!

Maddy and Jaida are accepting good quality items to consign at the Expo! Turn your closet into cash, or exchange your items for something new!

Maddy will be taking a horse first aid and farrier class. Jaida has a love for quarter horses and wants to learn more about the breed, and is committed to her family’s growing farm!

I just love seeing young equestrians with big ideas!!

The Dorset Equine Rescue Inc. does incredible work and has recently taken in some more Fresians from a cruelty case here in Vermont. Follow their page to read more of their story and if you are inclined, every penny counts especially with rehabs to this magnitude.
