"Today, I had to say goodbye to my dear daddy. Sunday’s party was a happy blur, but it was also my farewell. That night, I got a fever, and even with cuddles and care, I got worse. By Tuesday, I couldn’t control myself anymore.

At the vet, my hope faded. My blood work showed I was really sick, and the playful puppy inside me was going away. Dad knew what he had to do. There were expensive treatments, but they were only temporary fixes, ones we had tried before.

The hardest decision a pet parent can make is to let their pet go. Dad chose to let me go peacefully. No more pain, that was my promise. He took my collar as a silent reminder of the love we shared. Even though he was heartbroken, Dad promised to honor me by giving another beagle a loving home.

From the bottom of my playful heart, thank you for everything. You were the best family a dog could ever ask for. The memories we made will always bring a smile, even in my doggy heaven. Credit to original author."
