This video shows a typical spay/neuter clinic at ARF, held every other month to help reduce the number of unwanted pets in our community. Spaying and neutering is so important in slowing pet overpopulation and preventing animals from ending up homeless. Even with three rescues/shelters in our area, there are still far more animals in need than available space and resources. Every spay and neuter truly makes a difference.

Watching our videos all the way through, subscribing, liking, and sharing is a huge boost for us. When we get to 1,000 subscribers on YouTube we can start to earn money from the channel. We have over 8,000 facebook subscribers and only 44 YouTube subscribers. It costs nothing to subscribe to YouTube just takes a little time to create an account if you don’t already have one.
Thank you for your support ❤️.

LIBBY
Why hasn't this sweet longhaired dachshund found her home yet? She's 8 years old, crate trained, and housebroken. She gets along well with other dogs and absolutely loves belly rubs. She came to ARF when her owner faced serious health issues, and now she's patiently waiting for a second chance.

She likely lived on table scraps before coming to us, and her teeth were in very rough shape - she had to have 18 removed during her dental. Because of that, she'll need to stay on canned food going forward.

Despite everything she's been through, she's gentle, loving, and so ready to be someone's little shadow.

Her adoption fee is $150. You can stop by and meet her today at ARF from noon - 4. And/or go online and fill out an application.

3-3-3 rule
When a rescue animal comes home, they aren’t just entering a new house—they’re leaving behind everything they’ve ever known. The smells, the sounds, the people, even the feeling of safety… it’s all unfamiliar. What looks like fear, hiding, or distance isn’t rejection—it’s survival. These animals have learned to protect their hearts, and trust doesn’t come in a single day. But if you give them time—quiet days, gentle routines, and patient love—you start to see little moments of courage: a tail wag, a soft purr, eyes that begin to follow you with hope instead of fear. And then one day, almost without noticing when it happened, that scared animal is curled up beside you, finally home. The love you get in return isn’t instant—but it’s deeper, stronger, and more meaningful than you could ever imagine.
