I started my pet sitting service while working as a veterinary assistant. Within a year, I found myself focusing more on my own business and left my position in veterinary care. Since 2000, I have built up a service that not only offers your everyday care like walks and feeding. I also take my “crew” of dogs to the park, hikes in the woods and trips to the beach. Canine socialization is vital to the mental well-being of every dog. From a cellular level, dogs are social creatures. They evolved with the human species over thousands of years and they truly thrive in the company of other dogs...and humans.

Those who know me, are well aware of my obsession with dogs. I read everything I can on their health and nutrition...as well as the latest studies on medical care. I encourage my clients to be their pet’s advocate and always ask questions, never assume that just because someone has the letters DVM after their name, that they are focused on the best for your pet. Just as in the human medical field, you will find incompetence in the veterinary field. If something doesn’t seem right, you don’t fully understand a procedure or if you just aren’t confident in the doctor’s suggestion...always speak up. Your pet is depending on you.

With that said, there are MANY wonderful, loving, competent and compassionate caregivers in all fields of animal care. After nearly 20 years in pet care I have a short list of private practice veterinarians, canine behaviorists and trainers, pet boutiques, doggy daycares, and other well-trained/experienced pet sitters that I KNOW will treat you and your pet the way I would! Your pet’s happiness and safety are always my top priority.
