Plot Twist: It Actually Happens 🌳🚒🐈
It’s the kind of moment you’d expect to see in the movies—
But today it was a real-life rescue.
A big thank you to the quick action of our amazing Barrington Fire Department for creating a cinema hero moment, rescuing this kitten from a tree.

The cat is now safe and sound on the ground, and now it’s our turn to be the hero’s and help this adventurous kitty return home. Contact us if you have information!❤️

With the right person, he’ll thrive. He just needs someone who’s patient, ready to provide steady training, and willing to meet him where he is. He would do best in calm, consistent environment- as he startles easy- with one dedicated person. This will help him feel secure, so he can shine and become the loving companion he’s meant to be!

Remember that sweet silver Lab who was brought to us during the freezing cold spell? A huge thank you to everyone who shared his story—he stole hearts and became our most shared stray at ACC! ❤️

Now, this handsome boy is ready for his forever home! At around 2-3 years old, he’s neutered, vaccinated, chipped, and even knows a few commands (just look at his adorable “paw” trick!) He is high energy, looking for a family to play with and give him the warmth and care he deserves.

🩵 A Heartwarming Update One Year Later 🐾

One year ago, our community came together during one of the coldest spells of the year to search for a very special lost dog, Booker. Through kindness, determination and love for all animals Booker was found safe and sound! This week, we had the joy of seeing him again during a visit—a beautiful reminder of his resilience and the power of community and our furry friends!❤️

During the search for Booker, another lost dog was mistaken for him. While it turned out not to be Booker, this sweet pup Valentine found her way into our hearts- and we were able to find her a loving forever family.

What a happy accident it was to have two incredible outcomes: one cherished dog returned home and another adopted into a wonderful forever home 🏠. Both dogs are thriving, healthy, and loved beyond measure!

This story serves as a reminder about the importance of pet safety in cold weather. Freezing temperatures can be dangerous for our furry friends, so please make sure they have warm shelter, limit their time outside, and keep an extra close eye on them during extreme weather conditions.❄️
