Back in January, we rescued this sweet girl from the streets and the brutal freezing weather. A friend of mine had been trying to catch her for a few days , deeply worried about how she would survive the below-zero windchill 🥹 Finally, on one of the coldest mornings, she took shelter under my friend’s car—and the moment the door opened, she jumped right in.

One phone call later, she was safe in my office foster room. She spent her first 24 hours mostly sleeping, clearly exhausted. Her tiny body was underweight and worn down, and it’s hard to imagine how long she had been struggling on her own. Thankfully, she began eating like a champ and got all the vitamins she needed to rebuild her strength and support her immune system.

Once she was healthy enough, we scheduled her surgery and vaccinations. Not long after, a wonderful family came along and adopted her. They named her Wednesday—after Wednesday from the Addams Family—and it suits her perfectly.

Here’s to a new life filled with warmth, love, and a full belly. No more cold, hungry nights for this little one ❤️

Last time I posted about Oreo, I was really worried. He was battling a URI, running a high fever, lethargic, and barely eating. His bloodwork was concerning, and based on our vet’s suspicion of FIP, he was immediately started on medication and began a 12-week treatment.

I’m beyond thrilled to share some HAPPY news—Oreo has officially finished his FIP medication and successfully completed his full course! 😍

This is the second time Oreo has been treated for Feline Infectious Peritonitis, and I couldn’t be more proud of him. He allowed me to pill him every day for 84 days straight, like he knew it was helping him heal.
Now he’s back to his happy self—playing with his friends and enjoying life again. 💛

So thankful for this medicine as it saved so many cats sick with this disease. Just few years ago it would’ve been a death sentence, and I remember we lost a beautiful kitty back then before the cure was available.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE 💙Lots of new updates coming soon. (Mushy as the star in the photo)

Our sweet Oreo has been experiencing health issues lately, presenting with symptoms consistent with an upper respiratory infection, including sneezing, high temperature, and lethargy. Following a thorough examination, blood work, radiographs, and fluid analysis to rule out Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP), he received a Convenia injection and fluid therapy. Due to limited improvement, Doxycycline was also added. Despite this, as of yesterday his temperature persisted, prompting further fluid therapy, blood work, which showed a decrease in his red blood cell count, although he remains non-anemic. His globulin levels continue to rise, leading to the initiation of FIP treatment as a precautionary measure. (Dry form of fip) Additionally, he is experiencing weight loss which is concerning. Dr. Williams has also done a fever of unknown origin panel, with results pending. We are providing Oreo with best care possible, including daily nebulizer treatments, lysine, probiotics with vitamin C, immune-boosting supplements, and prescribed medications. The possibility that this is leukemia related scares me the most and I can’t even think that way because I love him too much. Please keep Oreo in your thoughts ❤️
