My first rescue was a cute rattie that was lost outside where I worked. Oh, I LOVE custom orders too!

I knew nothing about rats so I did a internet search & found out they are wonderful creatures! Since 1998 I have taken in many ratties and continued to learn more & more about them. I bought the usual pet store hammocks which didn’t last long, were made in China and were not safe for my furkids. That is when I decided to learn how to sew & make my own. I decided to use sturdy fabrics because the c

otton most people use are too thin. So I use cotton twill, duck & even upholstery velvet! I also use non-rusting grommets because small animals will chew through the straps some use, one of my poor guys fell when he chewed off a strap on the pet store hammock! Healing is going slow. I can now walk a continuous line w/ the walker!
Will be a couple more months still.

So since Rat Nation is still taking in our little buddies, I got more hammies ready to ship.

Been a while since I posted.
Thanks to the great (sarcasm) dicktator we have, many people are having trouble paying rent, getting food or health insurance.
I lost my supplemental health insurance.
I will make more items when I can afford Etsy fees to list them.
Not sure how much longer I can keep my shop open.

I will be using more solid color fabrics since I haven't found a new fabric place yet. I still have lots of print flannel but my print cotton is way low. Fleece solids low also.

Joann fabrics is closing all stores. I'll just be using up my fabric that I have & will more than likely close my Etsy shop. Grommets are extremely pricey too.
