Today was a great day! Not only were the girls up early and at the barn by 5:30, but they got back to the barn at the end of the day, cared for their horses and did some barn chores. We have such a great group of hardworking girls around here and I couldn’t be more proud of them 🫶🏼
First up for the day we had Delaney on Madison and Emily on Dunkin in beginner hunter. This was Emily’s first time showing Dunkin and they are a great pair! Emily’s personal horse is dealing with some health issues so I offered her Dunkin to get both of them experience and they did not disappoint. The moment he stepped off the trailer he was a pro. They ended with a 6th, 7th and 8th for the division. Delaney and Madison are also a new pair to us this year and he is an old seasoned show pro. He was feeling himself back in his groove and they took the show with ease! Ending the division with a 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th. The division was tough but these girls met their personal accomplishments and it was awesome to see.
After we had lead line where Scarlett crushed it on Dunkin, ending the division with grand champion! She worked very hard on her heels today and it definitely paid off ! These two are so cute together.
Next was Emily on Tiger for his first ever English show (that we know of). He thought he was back in the barrel racing arena and was ready to go at the ripe age of 22 🤣 they ended the Pleasure division with three 6th places and a 5th. Once Tiger decides he can calm down, this pair will be one to watch out for!
Last up, we had Stella on Fifi in mini stirrup, she ended up the division with three 6th places and a 5th. For only their second show and having only rode English starting the end of last year, this pair is doing great. Stepping out of the barrel ring into the English world is a whole different ball game.
I am so proud of all my girls. And as always, thank you to the parents who came and supported everyone and got the horses there and back safe and sound. Can’t wait to do it all again next weekend ❤️
