The Kentucky Humane Society’s CARE-a-Van is bringing FREE cat spay/neuter surgeries to Nelson County residents on Tues, Aug 25th at the Nelson County Justice Center, 200 Plaza Drive (location has been changed from the Fairgrounds to the Justice Center).

Appointments are required and can be made online at:

When booking, please look for Nelson County Justice Center.

Spaces are limited, and if that location does not appear in your search, that means all available appointments for that location are full.

There is a $25 deposit per cat. This deposit will be refunded when you attend your appointment. You may sign up for multiple cats, but each cat must have its own appointment and deposit.

🩵We want to give the BIGGEST shoutout to the shelter’s many amazing volunteers. The volunteers who spend their Saturday helping at an adoption event, or their days off walking dogs. The ones who sit for hours and help us socialize scared dogs and cats. The ones that open their homes to foster dogs and cats, bottle feeding, socializing, training or nursing them back to health. We absolutely could not do it without you and you are so very appreciated. 🩵🩵🩵
