This week's SCHS Pets of the Week are Ocean and Banjo! To make an appointment to meet them, call us at 608-356-2520.

Ocean is a handsome 5-year-old Husky mix with a playful personality and a sweet side that’s hard to resist! At 46 pounds, he’s a fun-loving guy who enjoys playing fetch, going for walks, and spending time outdoors. Once he’s had his fill of adventure, Ocean is more than happy to settle in for some quality cuddle time. He’s a smart boy who is fully house-trained and already knows come, sit, and lie down. Ocean would do well in an active home with kids ages 7 and up and could enjoy having a dog buddy to share his adventures with. Cats, however, are not his thing. With his gorgeous fluffy coat and lovable personality, Ocean is ready to find a family who will keep him busy, loved, and thoroughly spoiled! He is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations.

Banjo is a big, handsome tabby who came to the shelter as a stray, and at about 2 years old, he's already mastered the art of being a total sweetheart. This lovable guy is all about his people and would much rather spend his time getting attention than chasing after toys. Banjo is easy to pick up, comfortable being carried, and absolutely loves settling into a lap for some quality cuddle time. He even likes to return the favor by grooming you, giving little kitty kisses to show just how much he appreciates your company. He's affectionate, gentle, and seems perfectly happy as long as he's got someone nearby to love on. Banjo isn't asking for much, just a comfy lap, plenty of pets, and someone who doesn't mind being on the receiving end of a few sandpaper-tongue kisses. This big sweetie has a whole lot of love to give! He is up to date on his vaccinations and will be neutered prior to adoption.

Very important...

A SQUIRREL IN THE ATTIC? A RACCOON UNDER THE DECK?
You didn't want to hurt us.
So you trapped us and drove us "somewhere nice.” It feels humane. But it usually isn't.
→ We don't know where food or shelter is in a new place.
→ We've lost our winter food stash — all those nuts we buried.
→ Other animals already own that territory and fight us.
→ Many relocated animals die within weeks.
And in many states, relocating wildlife is illegal without a permit.
🐿️ The MUCH KINDER way:
→ Find the entry point.
→ Install a one-way exclusion door so we can leave but not return.
→ Seal it up once we're out.
→ Trim branches that touch your roof.
LET US MOVE NEXT DOOR TO A TREE. Not to a strange forest to starve.
