What is the CTC?
The Clean Truck Check is an emissions inspection required for all medium- and heavy-duty trucks operating in California. Compliance with this program ensures vehicles meet state emission standards and remain fully legal to operate.

You may see companies conducting business in California with out-of-state plates to avoid this requirement. Whether due to potential inspection failures, modified emissions systems, or simply to bypass the process altogether.
