Sunday used to feel different.

The whole day moved slower.

Stores were closed.

Main streets were quiet.

You could drive through town and barely see another car.

Families stayed home.

Maybe after church, everyone gathered for a big Sunday dinner.

Grandparents at the table.

Kids laughing.

Stories being told again and again.

Later in the afternoon, people sat on front porches.

Neighbors waved as they walked by.

Someone might pick up a guitar.

Someone else might bring out a board game.

Nobody was rushing anywhere.

Because Sunday wasn’t meant for errands.

It was meant for rest.

For family.

For slowing down and enjoying the people around you.

And somehow, those simple Sundays became some of the warmest memories of all.
