✨Something really special is happening. ✨
🐴 There’s just something about horses that make us think all of our dreams can come true.
They have a way of changing us...
They teach us to be brave when we’re scared.
Patient when things don’t go our way.
Confident without being careless.
Strong without being forceful.
And humble enough to know that there is always more to learn - and they never stop teaching us this one!
Somehow, somewhere between the grooming, the riding, the muddy boots, the early mornings, the laughter, the hard days, the fly spray and the moments when everything finally clicks…
we all just become a community - with the same goal - even if our individual goals vary.
That is what Wide Stride has always been about.
Not just riding lessons.
Not just horses.
People. Horses. Growth. Belonging.
Remember how I said horses have a way of making dreams come true.... well, here's proof!
✨ Wide Stride Equestrian Center is growing! ✨
We are opening an additional Wide Stride location, which means we get to open the door to even more people who have been looking for their place in the horse world.
And before anyone panics — we are NOT leaving Bangor. 🤎
Our Bangor location is still very much the root system of the Wide Stride family tree!
This new location simply gives us more room to dream.
More room to teach.
More room to create.
More opportunities for kids to discover the magic of horses.
More opportunities for riders to become horsepeople.
More opportunities for families to find a community where they feel like they belong.
Because I truly believe that if we want there to be a next generation of horse people, we have to pour into them.
We have to give them more than just time in the saddle.
We have to teach them how to care.
How to listen.
How to work.
How to problem-solve.
How to fail and try again. (and again and again)
How to respect an animal that weighs a lot more than you and me put together and still choose kindness.
We have to give them a place where they can be proud of themselves.
And we have to give them a community that celebrates their growth.
That is the kind of barn we are building.
A barn where the little girl who walks in completely horse-crazy can grow into the confident young woman who knows how to care for a horse - and herself.
A barn where a nervous beginner can discover, “Maybe I really can do this.”
A barn where lifelong horse people can keep learning!!!
A barn where parents know their children are not just learning to ride — they are learning lessons that will stay with them long after they leave the arena.
And now, we get to bring that vision to even more people.
