We believe the use of tools and methods designed to inflict pain, force, and fear is unethical and unnecessary in the care and training of a pet. Puppy & Rescue Headstart – Online is specifically for people who are considering getting a puppy or rescue dog, or who already have one. You do not need your new canine friend to take the class. Increasing numbers of our students start the course before bringing their dog home, so they are ready on the first day.

PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD-In his latest ForceFreePets.com blog post, Don Hanson, PCBC-A, begins the first in a series of articles in which he reflects on how the pet care industry has changed for the better over the past 30 years. He discusses how canine behavior experts have universally condemned the use of dominance and aversive methods, such as shock, prong, and choke collars. At the same time, he warns people with pets that some unfortunately use these methods and tools with their dogs, despite them being considered inhumane and abusive.
