Harvest this morning was a success! Thanks, Sydney. You can find the fennel she’s holding, strawberries, scallions, turnips, beets, and radishes at the Waverly Market this Saturday from 7am - 12 pm at the Farm Alliance tent !

IT’s that time of year... your beds are prepped, the weather is warming up and you’re itching to get in The soil. You’re in luck because Hidden Harvest has started many seedlings this year and we’ve got varieties of heirloom vegetable plants that you wouldn't find in any nursery or hardware store available for sale!

Here's what I've got:
- Sungolds cherry tomatoes from Johnny's (available as a 4 pack, or 1 plant) (8 four packs, 30 plants available)
- "White Beauty" large tomato, from Baker Creek seeds (30 plants available)
- 'Black Beauty' large tomato, from Baker Creek seeds (15 plants available)
- 'Dark Galaxy' large tomato, from Baker Creek seeds (10 plants available)
- 'Hillbilly Potato Leaf' large tomato, from Baker Creek seeds (30 plants available)
- 'Green Tiger' cherry tomato, from Baker Creek seeds (15 plants available)
- 'Poona Kheera' snacking cucumber, from High Mowing Seeds (15 plants available)
- 'Corinto' slicing cucumber, from Johnny's (15 plants available)
- 'Golden Glory' yellow zucchini squash, from Johnny's. (30 plants available)
- 'Odessa' summer squash, from Baker Creek (10 plants available)
- 'Bright Lights' chard, from Johnny's (4 pack only) (8 packs available)
- 'Guardsman' white bunching onions, (6 pack only) (3 packs available)

Please refer to the pictures for a visual of each variety. For specific pictures of my seedlings, just request. I will be happy to send them.

Plants are $3 each or 4 for $10. 4 packs are $5. Started in organic compost, and potted up in organic compost & potting soil mix.

Cash only. Pick up at Hidden Harvest Farm (1825 N Calvert Street). Delivery available in Baltimore City limits for a small delivery fee and a minimum order of $30.

Swipe through to see Park School volunteers at Hidden Harvest this past Tuesday! With their help we managed to mulch our fruit trees, clean out brush and debris from around the farm, take down some dead/invasive trees, pot up tomatoes, and seed a few trays! So grateful for their help this year :)

Today, Upper School students participated in the Day of Civic Engagement, spending the morning doing volunteer work off campus at community organizations, including Charm City Farms, Hampstead Hill Academy, The Book Thing of Baltimore, ShareBaby, Hidden Harvest Farm, Velocipede Bike Project, and The League for People with Disabilities, among others.

In the afternoon, the Upper School came together to hear from Park alumnus Idris Mitchell ’14, who currently works as a Campaign Manager in Baltimore while taking a bridge year from Yale University, where he will earn both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Political Science in a joint program.

We may not offer a CSA this year, but that doesn’t mean you’re stuck without options. Boone Street Farm is right up the street from us and is still taking members. Don’t go without fresh veggies this year - especially when they’re as interesting as these beans!

Farmers help eachother - it’s in our nature. I’m so grateful to have Maya (and the Wilde Thyme team) as my friend ! Make sure you check in with them as they prepare to take the truck out for another season of delicious, creative, convenient farm to table food!

Maya spent the morning volunteering at Hidden Harvest Farm doing a pre-season farm clean-up. The space, which will be run by farmer Cat this year, is looking great and we’re excited about potential collaborations with this hidden gem! 🌱💙✨

Clean up day was a success!!! Thanks to our amazing volunteers for coming out. The rain held out and we were able to tackle the debris and overgrowth.
