Hi all! I am looking for a home for Fiona somewhere in area of Baltimore, Maryland or within a reasonable drive!
Fiona or “Fifi” is honestly the nicest cat I’ve ever fostered. She has been with me since March and I just can’t understand why. She is low maintenance, spending about 22 hours a day sitting or napping in the window. The rest of the time she’s in your lap. She is easy to handle, fantastic at the vet, and a very good sport for all handling and medicating.
She is about 10 years old and on a restricted weight loss diet, but she doesn’t complain. She takes a pill twice a week in her food for chronic rhinitis (which just mean she gets the sniffles easily) and a monthly injection for her arthritis. If this is making you hesitate to adopt her, stop hesitating. It’s not a chore at all with a cat as lovely and agreeable as Fiona.
She would thrive as a therapy cat or emotional support cat. Yes, I think she could go to schools or nursing homes no problem. Yes, she could keep your grandma company all day. Yes, she would let your little kids carry her around. She’s the total package.
She is only not staying here because she is not thriving with so many cats in the home. Yes, one or two other chill pets would be just fine, just not the numbers I have.
Consider a “less adoptable” cat and adopt her so I can keep saving the old, fat, and unwanted.
