Guys, I cannot catch a break.

I have been trying to play catch up with rescheduling ever since the generator in the van got repaired.

I got home from work tonight to have to immediately take my cat Lupin up to the emergency vet with what I suspect is yet again another urinary blockage.

I promise I will get back to everyone about rescheduling appointments, just please continue to be patient with me.

And whoever has my voodoo doll, cut it out already 😅

I want to be transparent with my customers, as I sit here typing this at my generator mechanics shop- I am having a really tough time as not only a small business owner, but as a human being.

I know this is only another small hump to get over, but it’s been several small humps lately (both in my personal life & mechanically with the van) that have me feeling extra defeated.

Needless to say, I am back at the mechanics after my generator has failed on me yet again while blow drying my first client this morning. I am unsure how long it will affect appointments going forward- I do know that he will at the minimum keep it for one to two days since he had to call in parts.

I know this is not only aggravating for myself but also for you, my customers. So if anyone needs any recommendations for the time being if you are unable to wait, please let me know. Please keep an eye out from me if you have appointments this week, as I will also be sending you all texts individually to give you a heads up.

I truly appreciate your continued support and trust in my services. Over the past several months, I’ve worked hard to absorb the increasing cost of fuel without passing that burden on to you. However, with prices continuing to rise, it’s no longer sustainable for me to do so.

Effective immediately, a $5 fuel surcharge per household will be added to any services. This small adjustment will help ensure I can continue providing the same level of reliable, high quality service you expect.

Important Schedule Update

I sincerely apologize for having to reschedule appointments again this week. I made every effort to begin preparing the van to return to work, including hiring someone to come dig the van out; however, the location where I fill my water is completely frozen solid at this time.

I am also hearing from other local mobile groomers that even when they are able to get water into their vans, they are experiencing freezing issues while driving or while parked at clients’ homes.

To protect the van and ensure I do not crack pipes or cause damage to the grooming equipment, the safest option is to move the remainder of this week’s appointments to next week. While I have winterized the van to the extreme, these temperatures are far colder than anything I have encountered in my five years of business, and unfortunately, it has not been enough to fully combat the conditions.

I truly appreciate your patience and understanding as I prioritize safety and the longevity of my equipment so I can continue providing reliable service. I will be reaching out individually regarding rescheduled dates.

Hey everyone! Mother Nature is keeping us on our toes this week. Due to the recent snow and those upcoming single-digit temps, I wanted to give you a quick heads-up:

🚗 Safety First: Between icy roads and limited parking due to plow drifts, I may need to reschedule some appointments to keep everyone safe.

🧊 Cold Challenges: Extreme temperatures can lead to frozen water lines and equipment hiccups beyond my control.

I also want to say a huge THANK YOU. I know some of you are facing a second reschedule after I was under the weather earlier this month. I truly appreciate you sticking with me through this "storm" of events! Your patience means the world to my small business.

If your appointment is affected, I’ll be in touch as soon as possible to get you back on the schedule. Thank you for your incredible support and understanding during this chilly season!

Starting in 2026, you may notice that your invoice/payment link looks a little different. Our booking software and Square have ended their partnership, so for our latch-key clients, payment links will now be sent directly from Square.

Rest assured—all payments remain fully secure and encrypted, and this change will not affect the safety of your personal or payment information.

🎄✨ Merry Christmas & Happy New Year from Ruff Riders Mobile Grooming! ✨🎄

As we wrap up another amazing year, I want to send a heartfelt thank you to all of our wonderful clients for your continued support. Because of you, Ruff Riders Mobile Grooming proudly groomed 1,057 pets this year!

I will be taking some much-needed rest & relaxation and will be off until January 6th. All messages and inquiries will be answered once I return.

Pretty sure being a dog groomer/business owner is just a series of unexpected unfortunate events- but I still wouldn’t trade it for the world!

Starting Thanksgiving break a little earlier than expected with a trip to Patient First due to a dog bite 😅 All is good, just getting it irrigated, an updated tetanus & some antibiotics.

I have shot a text to my remaining clients for the day & apologize about this unexpected inconvenience right before a holiday!
