We currently have adorable, adoptable dogs, cats, and even a rabbit ready to start their next chapter—and they’re all hoping it’s with you.

All of our adoptable pets are:
✔️ Spayed/neutered
✔️ Up to date on vaccines
✔️ Microchipped
✔️ Ready to go home

🐾 Adoption Fee Update 🐾

Effective today, Monday 1/5, adoption fees have been reinstated.

Current adoption fees:
🐶 Dogs: $50
🐱 Cats: $40 (includes Dundalk location, which is cash only)
🐰🐢 Exotic pets (such as rabbits and turtles): No adoption fee

Adoption fees are WAIVED for:
• Veterans
• Dogs or cats 10 years and older
• Working cats
• Dogs or cats with special needs (FIV+/FeLV+)
• Adoptions completed at select offsite events (For January, that includes the World of Pets Expo & White Marsh PetSmart events)
• Adoptions completed on a holiday weekend (fees will be waived Jan. 17-19 for MLK Day)
• During special BCAS promotions (fees will be waived for our 10-Hour Adopt-A-Thon on Jan. 10)

Every adoption includes spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccines, and microchipping.

If you’re missing your pet, please check our ‘Lost Pets’ page (link in comments).

We would LOVE to reunite them with their families💕

We are the only shelter required to accept lost animals found in Baltimore County to alleviate the stress of having to look for your missing pet in more than one place.

Every animal that comes into our care is scanned for a microchip, evaluated by medical staff and given any necessary treatment, as well as appropriate housing and care for their species.

Animals that are not redeemed by an owner after 3 days will be evaluated to determine the best placement for them.

Holly is all dressed up in her cheer gear and ready to root for the Ravens today — but what she’s really cheering for is a forever home of her own!

✨ TODAY is the LAST day of our Home for the Holidays promotion with waived adoption fees, so stop in and adopt a new teammate!

🐶Holly is a 1-year-old shy, sweet girl who truly wants to trust the people around her. She may be a little reserved at first, but gentle baby talk, patience, and kindness go a long way. Once she warms up, her tender, loving personality starts to shine — and she’s making great progress every day.

Holly came in with another dog and finds comfort in canine companionship. She may thrive in a home with a friendly dog sibling (with proper introductions) and would do best with a patient, loving family who can give her the time and reassurance she needs to build confidence.

Whether socializing and exercising our adoptable pets, constructing fun toys for enrichment or spreading the word about our services at off-site events, our volunteers are an integral part of our team.

"Hey, just wanted to give you guys an update on Leo aka Malcom. As its now been officially a month. Since we brought him home it has been wonderful! He loves to tell you everything on his mind! He absolutely loves to play, even on his own! More recently a thing hes been doing is waking me up with putting his paw on my face after he’s flopped down next to my head.
