Adopt handsome Bridger!!

Bridger is the first dog that we pulled off the euthanasia list from the shelter, 3 years ago. We have been so thankful for his fosters that have come forward. Please keep sharing him though, because I feel like we’re so close to finding his adopter and we must not give up.

There are so many dogs in need but I also believe that they each have someone that is right for them.

Bridger is neutered, 6 years old, 69 lbs. Dog and kid friendly. House and crate trained.

Did you know that stray dogs wake up early each morning, driven by the desperate need to find food and water to ease their hunger?

When they find nothing, they may chew on weeds just to feel something in their mouths, then sleep all day outside homes or at bus stops, conserving what little energy they have. When they wake, their hunger is even worse, pushing them to rummage through garbage bags.

Please don’t ignore street dogs or turn them away. Many chase them off, but they, too, have a right to exist. Don’t be indifferent to their suffering—hunger and thirst are unbearable, especially when they can’t speak.

Street dogs are simply trying to survive. If you see a lonely dog searching for food, offer help. Together, we can save lives

✨ So… I’ve officially lost my mind. Like, completely. Unapologetically. ✨

The puppies haven’t even arrived yet, and somehow I’ve managed to say yes this week to every single Dane in this pic. 🤦‍♀️
How many?
TEN.
Why?
I don’t know. Trauma? Hope? A coupon for heartbreak? Who’s to say.🙈

But yes, you’re seeing this correctly. We’ve got 9 babies on the way AND now 10 more Danes which includes 3 6-month-old puppies.
Did I try to say no? I did. Did I succeed? Absolutely not.🤷🏼‍♀️

So now we’re just gonna do what we always do: Figure. It. Out.💁🏼‍♀️

BAKERSFIELD: A man who lost his dog a year ago is desperately searching for his beloved pet after a recent sighting Bakersfield.

David Crane is looking for his coonhound named Copper, who was last spotted near the 1400 block of South H Street about a week ago.

"It was the middle of the night, and he's a black dog. I looked for him all night long and couldn't find him. Next thing I know, I'm looking for him the next day, and I don't see any sign of him. He just kind of disappeared in the night, it seems," Crane said.

Crane lost Copper about a year ago while living in Bakersfield. Shortly after Copper ran away, Crane had to relocate to Texas for work, but he never gave up hope of finding his companion.

"I kept checking Bakersfield lost and found, hoping against hope that I would find him," Crane said.
