I Have Been Quiet Here As I'm Still Processing The Past Weekends Events With Very Little Sleep Since Friday. I Am Always Quick To Respond And I Like To Keep All Of You In The Know Regarding Our Fur Family.
Saturday Knoxley And Jade Began The Early Stages Of Labor And I Was Home Keeping A Close Eye When A Horrible Accident Occured, My Precious Ebony Was Backed Over By A Truck. I Can't Stress Accident Enough. 😞
By The Grace Of God She Is Still With Us.
It Has Been A Nightmare For Not Only Me But Anyone That Loves Her( which is EVERYONE ) And An Emotional Roller Coaster.
My Vet Is The Best And Always Gives Me The Facts Straight Up, X Rays Show A Hole In Her Abdomen Allowing Her Intestine To Protrude Outside Of The Wall. Excuse My Lack Of Proper Terms As I Think I Blacked Out Some While It Was Being Explained To Me. He Said The Surgery Was Not A Huge Concern Itself But The Tricky And Most Tedious Part Will Be The Sedation Since He Doesn't Know The Full Extent Of The Internal Injuries. The Lungs Being The Biggest Issue And There Is Just A Very Large Amount Of Fluid Build Up In Her Abdomen. He Didn't See Any "Obvious" Areas In The Lungs That Looked Damaged But Knowing What Happened He Is Worried About Their Condition And How She Will Respond To Anesthesia.
I'm So Scared And Worried. I Wanted To Update Everyone And Let You Know Her Surgery Is Scheduled For Thursday Afternoon After A Few Days Of Antibiotics And Antinflammatory Meds.
I (All of Us) Would Love If You Would Be Thinking Of Her And If You Are The Praying Kind, We Would Love Those Sent Up For Us And Her Team Of Miracle Workers.
She Is Walking, Eating, Drinking And Going To The Bathroom All At Normal Function. She Is Slower, Bruised And Traumatized.
She Has Known Nothing But Love And Doesn't Understand What Happened To Her, She, Even During All The Poking, Squeezing And Everything Necessary To Examine Her Injuries Has Never Even Let Out A Whine Or Wimper. I Can't Begin to Tell You What She Means To Me.
I Won't Be On Here A Lot Until I Get Her Home, I Won't Accept Any Other Option But Bringing Her Home To Get Better.
Thursday Is Going To Be Hell On Us.
