Whew! This was a busy day for us and for the Purrs of Purr Central! 6 Purr Central kitties were on this trip (3 from foster).

Wanted to share a little glimpse into our rescue adventures - it's something every day! Tuesday was another busy day for Saving with Soul's Team Cat! We had an epic NINE cat appointment. Taking a moment to say THANK YOU to Cat Clinic in Destin for everything they do. From removing sutures after a leg amputation, allergy follow up, hyperthyroid monitoring, and and and so much more, we are truly grateful for their support and partnership to take great care of our precious rescue kitties 😽 Everyone got the individual care they need and we get to move forward to getting everyone healthy, happy, and ready for their purr-ever homes!

You were so very loved Sir Reggie, we'll miss you and your fabulous loud raspy meow demanding your noms.

Some days in rescue are just hard and difficult to process. Many of you know or remember Sir Reginald. We were blessed to rescue him after he was found outdoors in Destin then taken to animal control. This very sweet kitty came to us with health issues but after a lot of love, care and great food rounded the corner.

Yesterday Reggie was examined by the amazing Cat Clinic of Destin to see if he was ready to undergo major dental work. What no one could have predicted were the results of his tests. Reggie was in kidney failure and veterinary recommendation was to let him go. There was nothing anyone could do to fix his problems and he'd probably have less than a year to live, and be in pain.

Sir Reginald was surrounded by comforting hands and so much love as he crossed the bridge. Thank you, Reggie, for the head bumps, purrs, snuggles and letting us be part of your light although far too short. This is not goodbye ... it's see you later 🌈

This 4th of July the kittens at Purr are celebrating freedom too. Freedom from sickness, freedom from worrying about where their next meal will come from, freedom from ever becoming moms or dads. They have a lot to celebrate, and they're having a blast doing it! They wanted to wish all of the hoomans a safe and happy 4th of July too!

The hoard kitties have been having a blast being able to be out and playing! But are even happier that they're starting to find their purr-ever homes! Congratulations Jackie, Nix and Lorric! We're so happy to have been part of your journey to the happy homes that you deserve!
Be sure to come out out tomorrow to our adoption event at the Crestview Library from 10-2! It's the grand debut of a bunch of the hoard kitties! They're gonna be out playing and charming potential purr-ever homes, with lots of their cat and kitten friends!
