We hope to see as many people as possible at our donkey basketball game this Friday! Please share this post to help encourage people to come out to support our chapter.

We know there there are track and golf meets going on that day, so this is a great way to get out of cooking dinner at home - enjoy a delicious meal by our alumni, and then some hilarious entertainment.

Proceeds from this event help our chapter fund our trips to State Convention, Ag Expo, and National Convention, so we really appreciate everyone who attends. Plus, the larger the crowd, the more likely we are to be able to bring the game back next year!

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us yesterday!

Last but not least for our recognition from State Convention, we had two State Degree recipients receive their gold pin. While it's not a surprise, it's still great to celebrate our two senior officers' accomplishment!

In addition to their State Degree, each girl received a scholarship through the State FFA Foundation - Elsie was selected for Big Muddy Legacy Award, and Tally received the Trail West Bank Next Gen Scholarship.

What a great way for both to cap off their FFA careers!

In addition to the Career and Leadership Development Events our members competed in during their time at State Convention, our National Chapter Award application (Star Chapter) also received recognition.

This year, our application was completed by Chapter Vice President Elsie Wilson. According to the judges, we earned a silver recognition, placing Bainville in the top 10 chapters in the state (out of 110)!

This also qualifies our application to be submitted on to Nationals this summer.

In addition to our team competitors, we had two public speakers qualify to compete at State Convention. Since only the top two from each district get to go, this is a big deal.

Tally competed in Extemporaneous, finishing second in her room, while Tenley recited the FFA Creed against other junior high students. We got a picture of them together, along with their proud parents.

Our final team CDE this year was Floriculture.

Against 171 participants from 44 chapters, our girls showed out. It's worth noting that Elsie missed getting a score on one rotation, meaning both her individual and their team score would have been even higher. And shout out to Emmalyn for stepping up and getting on the early bus to fill out the team when we needed another member.

This continues to be a popular contest for our chapter and district, so we look forward to crafting more great arrangements next year.

Thank you to MT Spiffworks LLC for covering our floriculture entry fee!

Our ATMS (Mechanics) team features a wide range of experience, from first-year participants to seasoned vets. This is one of the most hotly-contested events at State, with 57 teams and 225 total participants.

Our team, and half of its members, placed in the top half of the event. More impressively, we had one individual earn "stage time" by placing top 10 individually- great job, Rowan!

This is the first time we have had someone on stage for Mechanics since 2016.

A big thank you to Kent Bjorge for sponsoring these boys!

Vet Science was another one of the teams we picked to try to be in the top 10 at state this year, and they put in the work to make it happen!

This CDE has surpassed Livestock at both the State and National level as the contest with the most participants. 230 Montana FFA members on 59 teams showed up, and these four girls scored VERY well in their practicums to place this highly.

Great job to this team, and with 3/4 members returning, we hope this can be an area we continue to excel in.

Thank you to Bree Strickland for sponsoring our Vet team!

This year, agronomy was one of the teams we picked to focus on to potentially place highly at State, and this crew delivered!

Out of 48 teams, we finished within the top 10, and with 184 competitors, all four of our team members were in the top half. While Elsie will graduate, the other three members should all be back next year fighting for an even higher placing.

Thanks to Terrance Picard for sponsoring our 8th-place Agronomy team!

Livestock Judging is always a popular contest, and this year was no different, with 235 individuals on 59 teams vying for the top spot.

In an incredibly high-quality (and cold) contest, our team held their own. While we'd like to improve our placing, we know that with our oldest team members being sophomores, there is still a lot of time for us to perfect our craft and climb the leaderboards.

Thanks to these team members for braving the cold weather, and a huge thank you to Joy Owens for sponsoring our entry fee!

Our Sales team was the first one to compete at State this year.

This event included 51 teams and more than 200 individual competitors.

While they didn't place where they hoped to, each of the boys had areas they did well on, and areas to work on for next year. Considering the improvements they made from the start of the year until now, this should be a team where all four members come back and do even better next year.

Thank you to Derik Pierce for sponsoring our Sales squad.

Our parliamentary procedure team competed well at State. In a prelim room with 5 good teams, they qualified for the semi-final round ("Elite Eight"). While a very tough meeting card kept them from advancing to the final four, we're still really excited about our parli pro team.

With only one graduating senior, three "new" members, and debates that had judges raving, this group should continue to improve and be even more competitive next year.

Congratulations to Kaston, Rylan, Rowan, Addy, Hailey, and Tally on a great showing in parliamentary procedure this year.

And a huge thank you to Joy Owens for sponsoring our entry fee for this team!

We're back after a successful State Convention!

We'll have more posts to follow celebrating our successes, but here are a few pictures from our time in Bozeman.

Members had a great time competing, attending sessions and workshops, participating in Ag Olympics, debating delegate business, dancing, and hanging out on campus throughout the week.

Also, a huge thank you goes out to Beau Anderson and Tana Berwick for stepping up and doing all of the heavy lifting (literally and figuratively) of the advisor role while Mr. Standley is injured. Their efforts in making this trip not only possible, but enjoyable for all our members are greatly appreciated!

Photo credits all go to Tana Berwick.

State Convention kicked off yesterday with Ag Sales.

Rowan, Lane, Parker, and Kaston felt pretty good about how selling their skid-steers went.

A huge thank you to Derik Pierce for sponsoring this team!
