Fairy Dogmother Rescue & Rehab Fairy Dogmother Rescue & Rehab is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to making good things happen for dogs in need.

Fairy Dogmother is a small dog rescue whose dogs come from death row, or have been otherwise homeless, hungry, lost, injured, sick or at risk of being taken to a kill shelter where dogs surrendered by their owners or caretakers can be and often are put down the same day. Kill shelters are not required to give those dogs a chance to find new homes. Therefore, FDM offers a shelter alternative for sm

all dogs surrendered by owners no longer able to provide a home or care for them, deceased owners and dogs with disabilities or special needs. Before being offered for adoption, FDM's dogs are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, have been checked for heartworm, are treated for parasites and fleas and are on monthly heartworm & flea preventive.

On the road again to rescue dogs out of a bad situation near Smith Lake last month. The smallest one and the one with severe skin issues are now FDM dogs. A couple weeks earlier two were rescued out of a sad situation where one was paralyzed and unable to stand. I am happy to report that baby is on her feet walking and will soon become an FDM greeter dog. Waiting on the $ to come in to spay and neuter eight dogs that cannot be offered for adoption until that happens. Meanwhile, they are stuck in rescue limbo...

ADOPTED LOCALLY! Meet Sparky and his new dad, a third time FDM adopter, who seeks out senior, special needs or dogs in rescue a long time because they need a certain type of home with an adopter chosen especially for them. Sparky has been waiting 5 years for such a person. RIP Skooter and Rambo. Congratulations Sparky and Robert! ❤️
