Tick Season is Coming – Be Prepared!

As the weather warms up, so does tick season in Colorado! These pesky parasites are more than just a nuisance—they can transmit diseases like Lyme disease, anaplasmosis, and Rocky Mountain spotted fever to both pets and people.

How to Protect Your Pets:
✔ Use veterinarian-recommended tick preventatives
✔ Check your pets after outdoor adventures, especially in wooded or grassy areas.
✔ If you find a tick, remove it carefully with tweezers and monitor your pet for any signs of illness.
✔️ Bring in the tick so we can send it off to be tested (no charge to you)

🎄 Keeping Your Pets Safe & Happy This Christmas! 🐾

The holidays are a magical time, but they can bring hidden dangers for our furry family members. Here are some tips to keep your pets safe and stress-free this Christmas:

🍫 Holiday Treats:
- Chocolate Is a No-No: Even a small amount can be toxic to dogs and cats. Keep those sweet treats safely stored away.
- Turkey Bones: Cooked bones can splinter and cause choking or internal injuries. Treat your pets to safe chews instead.

🌱 Seasonal Plants🌺:
- Danger Zone: Mistletoe, holly, and poinsettias are toxic to pets. Consider pet-safe plants like Christmas cactus instead.

🔔 Loud Noises & Stress:
- Big gatherings can overwhelm some pets. Create a quiet, cozy space where they can relax away from the hustle and bustle.

🦃 Happy Thanksgiving from Mobile Critter Care! 🐾

We’re thankful for all the pets who keep us busy, the owners who trust us with their fur babies, and the turkeys who… well… might want to stay out of sight today.

Here are a few quick reminders to keep your pets happy and safe this Thanksgiving:
🍗 Turkey is delicious, but bones are dangerous! Keep the scraps for YOUR leftovers, NOT Fido.
🥧 Pumpkin pie is for humans. Your dog might love pumpkin, but they don’t need the sugar and spice.
🍴 Keep an eye on the table! A cat on a mission is faster than Uncle Bob reaching for seconds.

Wishing you a day full of love, laughter, and just enough food for everyone to still move afterward. 😉

For the FIRST time in the history of my business (8 years) I am stuck at a client's house! I have always managed to make it thru some crazy weather and snow storms, but this is a doozy of a snow storm!
Thankfully, I only had one other dog to check on today, and he had a neighbor as a back up to be able to let the dog out! So I guess it's movie/couch day with Miss Luna!

Meet my sweet friend Kashoti!!!
I have know Kashoti for many years, and have been trimming his nails for his mommy since he was a puppy ❤️
Unfortunately one bad experience with a groomer and now Kashoti gets very stressed out when it comes to nail trims.
So after much experimentation with treats and different techniques we finally found the right combination 🙌 😊
Kashoti feels safe in the bathtub 🛀 ❤️ No problem buddy! I'll climb in with you 😉❤️
After working in the Veterinary field for 12 years now, it's amazing how many other dogs are just like Kashoti!
What seems like a simple trip to the vet for us, is really a nightmare for them ☹️
I pride myself in being able to offer an affordable in home service, that keeps your pet more calm and comfortable 😊❤️

When we say, "we do it all" we mean it!!! One of our new clients has 19 animals 😳, 9 of which are these adorable fuzzy cows...commonly known as Yaks 😉

Originally from Tibet, Nepal, and Mongolia, Yaks were commonly used as pack animals, but also for their meat, milk, and hides.
They even have sports surrounding Yaks! They have Yak skiing, and Yak polo! Just like we use horses for those activities in America, they use Yaks for those sports in Tibet and Nepal!

✅ WHERE THERE IS WILDLIFE (especially deer) THERE ARE TICKS!

Ticks carry many diseases that are dangerous and life threatening to you and your pet.

➡️ Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever
➡️ Canine Hemorrhagic Fever
➡️ Lyme Disease
➡️ Tick Paralysis
JUST TO NAME A FEW!!!

A once a month topical tick/flea prevention is highly recommended!

Also, it is recommended after you take your dog for a nice hike or even a stroll through some tall grass, give your dog a good once-over to make sure he / she didn't bring home any unwanted friends 😝

Please talk to your veterinarian about a tick preventative or visit our friends at Buster's Natural Pet Supply for a natural/homeopathic alternative!

In need of a reliable, trustworthy individual to care for animals for a busy pet sitting business.
Jobs range from Bailey, Evergreen, Conifer, Morrison, Aspen Park, etc.
-Must be comfortable driving in any weather conditions.
-Individual must have valid driver's license
-Must have an insured, reliable AWD or 4WD vehicle
-Must be willing to stay overnight in clients homes as well a daily visits and willing to work weekends and holidays
-Must be comfortable caring for dogs and cats. Horses and livestock experience not required, but willing to train the right individual

Part-time pet sitter needed to join my team, doing jobs in the Conifer, Bailey, Morrison, Evergreen, Kittredge area.
-jobs consist of overnights, daily visits, and dog walking
-Preferably somebody that lives in the Evergreen / Conifer area.
-Applicant MUST be able to do overnights in client's homes
-required to have insured, reliable transportation and either AWD or 4WD
-required to be comfortable and confident to drive in any type of weather
-have flexible schedule and be able to schedule appointments at least 6 months in advance
-pet sitting experience preferred
-please submit resume as well as at least 5 references (no friends or family)
-applicant MUST answer all questions and submit requested information. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
